Our fate as future POB holders depends upon the path we plan on following. When POB first began, there was a rush to gain the valuable token. I'm familiar with project management in the real world and felt a short-term road map was needed to provide the community with a summary of plans they were communicating. I thought it was important to set some initial guidelines in place to give focus to our growth.
Vast Proof of Brain
You can consider a roadmap to be a living document. It adds stability to a platform, and I feel it's an essential part of any project or community. You may be wondering next why this roadmap wasn't developed further. Well, the reason is because of stability. FUD, FOMO, or any other reaction to a new platform comes in stages:
- The Gold Rush
- The hype minimizes, and reality sets into the ecosystem.
- Drama in some shape or form ensues
- Alignment with the vision of the community or tribe
There are many more variables involved in the risk of any new development. I've only touched on a couple. I felt it was critical to stabilizing the community. People made proposals, and some were implemented, like Leprechaun's Proof of Brain/Ecency endeavor.
There's a long history, though, that I'm not entirely familiar with, but it contributed to instability in the platform. People started downvoting, and proposals were made to manage how downvotes were issued. It was sometime around that point that I began to mimic the actions of others and added justifications for any DV I published.
Where is POB now?
I think POB is in a better place now. The value of the token is low but relatively stable, considering its current value. People are more aware of concepts like quality, fraud, and engagement. I don't believe we can ever eliminate problems with fraud. Still, endeavors guided by people like Adamada will provide monitoring processes and be available to any community.
It's time to re-evaluate our current roadmap and provide the community an updated version. In this update, I'll cover at least one topic proofofbrainio is pursuing that would improve the community. I'm waiting to discuss these items with proofofbrainio and communicate it with the update.
