TREE WILL LIVE ON )))

Black Walnut tree trunk, finding a new home.

I had called a guy in a near-by town a year or so ago to take my tree trunk for his Sawmill. At the time he didn't have the means to get it on his flatbed trailer.

Out of the blue he knocked on my door the other day and ask to take my tree. He had an new electric winch to pull up on the trailer. Like a boat would be pulled up.

So he and his son got to work getting the tree trunk on the trailer.

They first jack it up..

I ask the son why he was wearing a F...ing mask. Of course it is for the virus. I tell him you are outside and I am sitting on my bench 30 feet away. Did not penetrate his brain. It was a warm day and he was doing all the strenuous work.

The guy had to cut off the knobs on the bottom so it would clear the trailer.

The powerful winch began to pull the trunk up on the trailer.

Log just fit on the trailer, it was measured at about 17 feet.

12,000 lb rating on winch the guy Bill bought at Tractor Supply.

I was quite surprised there was no damage to the grass or driveway. The Masked kid and his father did a great job.

Bill said he would bring me some boards for shelves if things worked out with the sawing.
