El motivo de mi publicación de hoy, tiene que ver con que podemos hacer para saber si estamos ante un engaño, si un sitio web es legítimo o una simple estafa. Para tratar estos asuntos, les comparto mi primera recomendación:

1.- Desconfié de ofertas demasiado buenas para ser verdaderas

Una oferta que nos prometa grandes ganancias con solo un registro, el 99,99% de las veces es estafa. Es muy probable que nunca veas el dinero que envíes, el que supuestamente ganaste, o el bien o producto que compraste con un descuento ultra fabuloso. Nadie anda por allí regalando estrafalarias sumas de dinero. Y para ello, se valdrán de muchos recursos para engañarnos. Por ejemplo, estos sitios que me recomiendan estos usuarios en Discord, además de sus fantásticas e increíbles ofertas, me presentan una cara e interfaz muy llamativas y serias, pero siempre debemos andarnos con cuidado en estos sitios. En Exbitswap.com, tienen un chat interno, pero al enviar mensajes con las dos cuentas que me cree, estos no se mostraban en la misma línea de tiempo del chat, aunque los supuestos otros "usuarios" en el chat hablaban lo mismo. A los pocos días, no pude volver a ingresar al sitio, supongo porque no hice el depósito que me pidieron y porque les envíe un correo, pidiendo información para retirar "mis premios".

The reason for today's post has to do with what we can do to know if we are facing a scam or if a website is legitimate or just a simple scam. To address these issues, I share with you my first recommendation:

2.- Los piratas usan el candado verde "https" para engañarnos

Una práctica común de seguridad en línea, es fijarnos en el símbolo del candado en la parte superior del navegador en un sitio web, antes de ingresar nuestras contraseñas o información personal, como los de las tarjetas de crédito en un formulario. Además, se debe verificar el uso del estándar "https" por el de "http". Pero en estos tiempos, los piratas informáticos se han hecho más inteligentes y agregaron esta característica de seguridad a sus sitios fraudulentos, por lo que visualizar este candado en una página, no es garantía de que el sitio web sea seguro. Debes además del candado, verificar el nombre del sitio donde se encuentra. Puede que te parezca en apariencia el mismo sitio de siempre, pero descubres de pronto que estas en Amaz0n.net o Le0finance.io.

2.- Hackers use the green "https" padlock to fool us

A common online security practice is to look for the lock symbol at the top of the browser on a website before entering your passwords or personal information, such as credit card information on a form. In addition, the use of the "https" standard should be checked against "http". But these days, hackers have gotten smarter and added this security feature to their fraudulent sites, so displaying this striped lock** on a page is no guarantee that the website is secure. You should also check the name of the site where it is located. It may look like the same old site, but you suddenly discover that you are on Amaz0n.net or Le0finance.io.

3.- Verifica los datos del dominio

Una buena práctica de seguridad cuando hay dudas sobre el sitio web, es verificar la antigüedad del dominio o nombre, lo que nos dará una mirada más clara del mismo. Para esto, puedes apoyarte en la página Whois.domaintools.com, donde puedes obtener información actualizada acerca de, quien lo hizo y cuando se registró un nombre de dominio, y cuánto tiempo ha estado activo el sitio web. Esta información nos dara más pistas para confiar o no en un sitio.

3.- Verify the domain data

Good security practice, when there are doubts about the website, is to check the age of the domain or name, which will give us a clearer look at it. For this, you can rely on the page Whois.domaintools.com, where you can get updated information about who did it and when a domain name was registered, and how long the website has been active. This information will give us more clues to trust or not to trust a site.
