Let's Talk About "Missing White Woman Syndrome" And The Media

Missing white woman syndrome is coming around again, but its not exactly wrong. It is just a general observation of how the mainstream media pushes stories to the public. When its a missing person they will primarily report about a missing white woman. If its a death, they will primarily report a black death at the hands of a white cop. If there were instances of hate speech they will report the white man's racism, but not the black man's racism.

"Missing white woman syndrome" is no different than "black man killed by white cop syndrome" in the media. They are one and the same because the end game is to get you to come back to read their publications so they can make a profit.

Has nothing to do with actual racism, but instead of a profit motive. The most popular story gets the most money, that is what they want.

It also makes me laugh how the mainstream media is reporting on "missing white woman syndrome" when they are the ones who are perpetuating this stereotype.
