Who are we? || What do we have to offer?

Proof of Blind is a project that seeks to connect exceptional content creators with hard-working curators in a bias-free manner. Our mission is to faciliate and encourage high-value content creation and curation on the Hive blockchain.

We are operating as a class project under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Steve Trost (@trostparadox).

Proof of Blind is designed to provide a more effective curation system, in which original content is checked for plagiarism before being posted, and authors are anonymous (mostly) so they get rewarded based on the quality of their content, regardless of how long the author has been active on the Hive platform.

This approach ensures rewards and appreciation are based on the quality of content, which is the growth engine of Hive as a social media platform.

Rewards for Authors

There are multiple advantages for authors to submit their content via Proof of Blind:

  1. Proof of Blind is becoming a well-known avenue to promote new author's content via an anonymous curation system; as such, your chance of gaining exposure from established curators and getting larger upvotes can be significantly higher than posting via your own Hive account. And, even if you already have a large Hive following, publishing a few high-quality posts via Proof of Blind can help boost your following from the additional exposure.
  2. Proof of Blind will post numerous submissions in a standardized format, which should attract whale curators to come and check multiple posts, further increasing your chance of earning larger upvotes.
  3. Authors providing high-quality content via Proof of Blind will be more easily noticed by curators. This notification will be further enhanced as high-quality content creators get highlighted on the upcoming @blind.stats leaderboard.

We hope to be an avenue for great content creators to quickly build up their reputation, their future influence, and their current and future income.

Think about using Proof of Blind as the first step to “bringing your product to market.”

Once you have developed a reputation on your own, spread your wings and fly (and thank us later!).

Benefits for Curators

With the mission of improving not just content creation but also content curation on Hive, here are the major benefits for curators:

  1. All content posted via the Proof of Blind project has passed rigorous plagiarism checks, freeing curators from concerns about the originality of the content.
  2. Authors submitting via Proof of Blind come from diverse backgrounds, and their content is equally diverse. For a curator who would like to broaden their view, but has limited time and attention, Proof of Blind is definitely for you!
  3. Curators can quickly identify authors with great potential to follow by looking at the beneficiary list for a given post (the 85% beneficiary is the original author). If you’re not familiar with how to check the beneficiary list, you can read more about that here on the FAQ page, under the heading If my identity is kept ‘blind’ from curators, how will I get noticed?.

As curators, you play an active role in contributing to a healthy content-creation environment, in which new authors are welcomed and an author’s success is dependent upon the quality of their content and independent of the author’s starting point.

The better folks feel about the Hive environment and ecosystem, the more high-quality content will be available to curate, enjoy, and learn from.

If you are a curator who cares about a healthy, welcoming environment for original-content creation and publication, follow @proofofblind and curate the diverse content from our great pool of authors.
