Managing Everything

Being more organised, or rather to not get sucked into bullshit be it habitual procrastination or others' expectations.

Managing things is all about control, whether you choose to do nothing for a whole day or produce the best work you ever have.

Not doing things is not what gets on my nerves but doing things that pass time just to pass time does. Yet, as it goes and has gone, I keep doing them.

Even writing this can fall in that category. Fortunately this is actually beneficial. Anyway I will try a task manager and habit tracker for a bit.

I downloaded 3 apps in a similar vein but uninstalled the other two once I have gone through each ones start phase.

I don't like things that take too much setting up, so the others were just tedious.

Dreamfora although basically the same style has some prebuilt templates and from the get-go, I got to choose something that is kind of relevant to what I want to achieve.

On top of that the template is editable and you can change it to better suit you.

So I think with this and Obsidian for notes etc, I should be able to give tracking a chance. I guess the other word might be accountability. I hate that word it just sounds like a life sentence.

Rewarding Behaviour

On Hive we are quite use to just getting rewards for mundane and almost pointless things, from the games we play to quips in comments.

Now it kind of balances because tokens want adoption and we want rewards.

It becomes a problem I think when you want to control behaviour. Downvotes are seen as "taking money" and frankly considering how downvotes or any punishment similar works in the real world it is for the most part no better than jungle justice. There are pro's and con's and you can enjoy discussing those while on the toilet , alone.

Hive aims to be decentralized when it comes to issuance and token management. Tokens on second layer are inherently not, and I don't think they aught to be either.

People do not care if you are decentralized, really that only benefits the bigger ecosystem as a whole, but if you are operating within that ecosystem then it makes sense to have that control.

One big ass flea market with many stalls open and each will need to make something of themselves.

So I think currently most options are either you get some or you get none. Which is kind of restrictive in dealing with who may or may not get rewarded by your token.

I am more just musing on this now but I do think a standard can be set for token management, with more modular control.

That provides gamification opportunities but also user control.

On top of that a plug and play service that can provide the required utility, similar to what scotbot or the comment bot does but far more flexible , think discord achievement bots. That would be a pretty fun thing.

Anyway, I know , I know. Go work and stop posting bullshit.

Ciao.
