La semana pasada les mostré en un post un lindo encargo que me hicieron de un short para niño, el cual confeccioné en tela de microfibra con un lindo estampado de hamburguesas, esa misma persona me encargo otra short pero más grande talla 10 para su hijo Sergio, como se acerca halloween me pareció muy divertido realizar este short en un estampado fantasmal 🤣 no era mi idea principal pero cuando fuí a comprar la tela encontré este estampado y me gustó mucho, yo que conozco a Sergio se que le gustará.

Last week I showed you in a post a nice order I got for a boy short, which I made in microfiber fabric with a nice hamburger print, that same person ordered me another short but bigger size 10 for her son Sergio, as halloween is coming it seemed very fun to make this short in a ghostly print 🤣 it was not my main idea but when I went to buy the fabric I found this print and I liked it a lot, I know Sergio I know he will like it.
Este tipo de shorts son muy comunes aquí en mi ciudad, por tratarse de un clima tropical la ropa tiene que ser fresca, Si, aunque ya estemos en invierno, aquí hace calor 🔥para los caballeros estos shorts con estampados se han convertido en tendencia y hoy quiero mostrarte como realicé este, así que comenzamos.
This type of shorts are very common here in my city, because it is a tropical climate the clothes have to be cool, Yes, although we are already in winter, here it is hot 🔥for gentlemen these shorts with prints have become a trend and today I want to show you how I made this one, so let's start.
Necesitaremos || We will need
Para este proyecto necesitaremos medio metro de microfibra estampada, utilicé hilo negro, Alfileres, cinta elástica con cordón, Tijera, Cinta métrica, patrón en papel, Aguja y máquina de coser.
For this project we will need half a meter of printed microfiber, I used black thread, pins, elastic ribbon with cord, scissors, tape measure, paper pattern, needle and sewing machine.
Paso 1 || Step 1
Comenzamos doblando la tela y colocándola en una superficie plana, el primer paso es colocar el patrón sobre la tela (doble), sujetamos con alfileres para que no se mueva y cortamos 2 piezas delanteras y 2 traseras, debemos tener en cuenta agregar 1 o 2 cm de margen de costura, también en la parte de la pretina cortamos 6 cm más alto, que es el ancho de la elástica.
👀 ¡¡¡OJO!!!👀 Cuando cortemos las piezas traseras debemos de tener en cuenta que el tiro trasero es más largo.
- We start by folding the fabric and placing it on a flat surface, the first step is to place the pattern on the fabric (double), we fasten with pins so that it does not move and cut 2 front and 2 back pieces, we must take into account to add 1 or 2 cm of seam allowance, also in the waistband part we cut 6 cm higher, which is the width of the elastic.
- When we cut the back pieces, we must take into account that the back yoke is longer.
Paso 2 || Step 2
- Vamos a coser y nos toca unir los tiro del short, colocamos las piezas delanteras enfrentando derecho con derecho y pasando costura recta y luego zigzag rematando la costura, lo mismo hacemos para la parte trasera.
- We are going to sew and it's time to join the short's seams, we place the front pieces facing right to right and sew a straight seam and then zigzag finishing the seam, the same thing we do for the back part.
Paso 3 || Step 3
- A este short le realicé bolsillos pues como es para un niño más grande me pareció que pueden ser prácticos para él, entonces cortamos las bolsillos en tela de forro (4 piezas), y los vamos a coser a unas tiras de 16cm de alto por 5 cm de ancho, cosemos estás tiras a los costados del short, como puedes ver en la imagen y continuamos enfrentando los derechos de las piezas ya cosidas (delantera y trasera), y cosemos a los costados del short sin pasar costura por los bolsillos, también la entrepierna.
- To this short I made pockets because as it is for a bigger boy I thought they could be practical for him, so we cut the pockets in lining fabric (4 pieces), and we are going to sew them to strips of 16cm high by 5 cm wide, we sew these strips to the sides of the short, as you can see in the image and we continue facing the rights of the pieces already sewn (front and back), and we sew to the sides of the short without passing seam through the pockets, also the crotch.
Paso 4 || Step 4
Para la coser la pretina primero hice un doblez en todo el contorno de la cintura y pase costura recta, seguidamente comencé a pegar la elástica con costura en zigzag, primero cosí hacia la orilla para luego doblar hacía adentro y rematar con zigzag, podemos hacer otras costuras a modo de decoración.
Como último paso deje los ruedos se las piernas del short, hice una doblez doble de 1,5 cm cada uno y cosí con costura recta todo el contorno de cada pierna.
To sew the waistband I first made a fold around the waist and sewed a straight seam, then I started to stick the elastic with zigzag stitching, first I sewed towards the edge and then folded inwards and finished with zigzag, we can make other seams as decoration.
- As a last step I left the hems of the legs of the shorts, I made a double fold of 1.5 cm each and sewed with a straight seam all the way around the legs.

Así quedaría el resultado final de este short con estampado de fantasmas, como fué un encargo rápido no me dió tiempo de tomarle muchas fotos, pero les aseguro que a su dueño le encantó.
