SuperBowl LVI represents the massive Sports marketing by Crypto Companies!

Hi HODLers and American Football fans,

Superbowl is always exciting because of a potential great game, great artists performing during the Half Time show and innovative and funny commercials!

This year might show the world how far the Crypto industry has come. Two of the biggest Cryptocurrency companies have boughts ads to be aired during the Superbowl halftime commercials: FTX and Crypto.com.

I have been vocal on the push by Crypto.com to market a lot during NBA, NFL games. Of course we also had many stadium naming announcements:

FTX gets naming rights to California Memorial Stadium in US$17.5m
Home of Miami Heat Officially Renamed as FTX Arena
Crypto.com buys naming rights to Lakers’ Staples Center in a $700 million deal

But this is just another step into the mainstream world. Unfortunately, if they target Americans Sport Fans it is because among them you have a lot of gamblers. As we know, Cryptocurrency is seen by many as equivalent to gambling, which in some ways is true.

I expect to see some very cool ads from both of these companies. Seeing that Matt Damon was in Crypto.com ads, I wonder how they could even do better.

A 30sec ads during the sue Superbowl will cost each of these companies $6.5mn!

Is the Sport strategy working?

It surely seems so as both of these exchanges have seen record numbers of new users.

As Sam Bankman-Fried, FTX CEO said:

“We are really coming from behind on name recognition. When someone's looking to get involved in crypto for the first time, we've found that they haven't heard of FTX,”

Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek agrees:

“Going into different sports just allows me to reach everybody where they are. Super Bowl is just one more step into that, where it's as mass as you get,”

What are your thoughts on spending so much money for one ad?

Also, do you feel Coinbase is threatened by these new aggressive players as they have not been investing and promoting their exchange to Sport fans?

Stay safe out there,
