My entry to the "Pay It Forward Curation Contest - Week 23"

This is my entry for the Pay It Forward Curation Contest - Week 23, hosted by @pifc!

The rules of this challenge are very simple: Feature 2 High Quality Original Content Blog Posts from Steemians with a reputation score of 55 or under.

This week, I'll showcase the works of two rising artists, @adelair and @edanya. They've joined SteemIt 2 and 6 months ago and both are thriving.

Here's the preview of their latest artworks:

It won't be long until these artists have their reputation above 55.

Usually, I select artists who are struggling a bit more... but this week, I've decided to pick these two artists as a way of acknowledging the consistency and quality of their blogging.

If SteemIt ever grows into something big, it will happen because of people like them.

Also, @edanya is a student in Venezuela... and knowing how horribly hard life is in Venezuela at the moment, any help going that way is going to be a huge help.

#1 - @adelair (54)

Adelair describes herself as a "Freelance Illustrator (who) creates character/creature designs and illustrations for tabletop games, RPGs, card games and books."

Having arrived from The Philippines, Adelair landed on SteemIt on July, 2018 and it's incredible how her posts already display such a high quality level. Well done, girl!!!

The post I'm featuring is a digital illustration of a Ferryboat, titled:

Environment Exercise : Ferry

I love this piece. It transmits me a great sense of calm and tranquillity.

Usually @adelair would end the post with a step by step progress of the whole illustration but this time she had homework to do.

#2 - @edanya (55)

Edanya Carrasco, is a 19 year old student from Caracas, Venezuela. In her introduction post, she says she's "selling kidneys in exchange of sugar and butter."

:-(

Then she carries on and describes herself as an "artist, illustrator or frustrated/starving girl with a pencil."
(Don't beat yourself up, girl. You've got some skills. I'm sure you'll find a way to put that talent to good use!)

Edanya latest post is very good. Of course I love the artwork, but this time, I've chosen this post mainly for its message. I don't want to spoil it but I also don't want you to ignore it, so here's the tagline:

If you feel frustrated because you can't see the end, remember: Care and enjoy the process, the results will come on their own time. Even if we make 9 women pregnant, we won't get a baby in 1 month. ~ Edanya Carrasco

Painted Thoughts - Are the results that important?

@edanya includes a step by step progress of the artwork but I can't stress this enough:

  • Be sure to read her message, specially if you are new to SteemIt and begin to wonder if this site is worth your time and effort...

I hope you have enjoyed both these posts... and please throw a bit of love at @adelair and @edanya.
