STEP BY STEP PROCESS ON THE PREPARATION OF OUR LOCAL AND COMMONLY KNOWN DELICACY.

It's a beautiful morning here 😎

I hope this meets us all well.

So this morning, I will be sharing with us the step by step process of how I prepared my Fried beans cake and pap. Popularly known as Akara and Oki in Yoruba land.

Firstly, I started by picking out all the dirts in the beans, then I rinse for quite a number of times to remove the chemicals. Say like 4 times.

Then I soak inside water to soften it up a little.

Rinse off the water after a while, I added my pepper and some onions then blend.

NOTE: I don't peel off the chafts of the beans because my mum prefer it that way.

After blending into a smooth paste, add salt and diced onions to taste.

I added a little garlic to it (not compulsory)

Then mix well until the paste is airy and fluffy.

Pour your desired oil (vegetable oil/ palm oil) in a clean frying pan, light up your cooking appliance and allow the oil to heat up.

Scoop the beans barter using a spoon into the preheated oil and fry till golden brown.

Allow to sit and fry for some few seconds then keep flipping side by side till all surface is brown.

Then remove from oil and set aside.

Repeat same process till all barter is fried.

HERE IS THE STEP BY STEP PROCESS ON HOW TO PREPARE OUR PAP.

Add a little water in your cleaned pot, place it on fire and allow it to boil.

Add your already grinded corn paste in a bowl.

Add some little cold water to mix until it is of smooth consistency.

Then pour into the boiling water on fire.

Use your turning stick to stir well on heat till it thickens then serve and enjoy 😋.
