#PredictTheFuture Challenge - What will the world be like in 2067?

I haven't played Cyberpunk 2077 (I can't afford a machine to run it - let alone afford the game itself)
and I haven't seen the movie 2067 yet.

I did go read the 2067 wiki https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2067_(film)

So my vison for the future is much more bleak - by far.

Once the full effects of climate change take hold the wars and turmoil created will be devastating.

The wars for resources (mostly fresh water) will lead to a nuclear wasteland.

There were a few smaller enclaves where the billionaires were able to hide and ride out the worst of nuclear fallout -
the small number of professionals(doctors / bodyguards / slaves) needed to keep them alive became 'un-enamored' by their captors and eventually rose up and killed them.

mostly because they finally realized the full unbridled evil that these people are capable of, and the lengths they would go to remain in power.

You see, when you treat everyone as disposable, including the ones that keep you alive - they wil eventually turn on you no matter how much wealth or fear you try to instill in them.

Once the uprisings were over and the majority of evil had been eradicated - those that were left in the barren nuclear wasteland had to adapt to life underground.

Even though they had some solar/wind/deisel/gas power in the early beginning - the above ground systems stil had to be maintained and repaired.

Most of the people willing/able to manage these tasks had lost their life in the uprisings - the ones that were left had to risk their lives to venture to the surface to maintain existing systems.

Since there was no longer any production of parts/supplies/equipment these early systems that were supposed to be for survival eventually broke down.

The early maintainers of these systems had to venture to the surface and be exposed to the radiation and other extreme weather conditions.

Once the maintainers died off from cancer the rest of the underworld people had to venture out as well for supplies like food and water.

THere were some above ground plants near the enclaves (built in areas farther from the major nuclear fallout), but the above ground plants were scarce.

The enclaves had been built near some water sources, but most of them became polluted or disappeared.

After a few generations of births and mutations all the elders had died and the newer generations had no knowledge of the past and the dangers of the outside world.

Mankind was not built to devolve - with fewer and fewer elders to teach the young each generation, humanity just died out.

The rest of the planet was survived by giant mutant radioactive cockroaches.

THere were a few copies of the $hive blockchain on hard-drives somewhere - but the cockroaches had no use for data so this last sentence is a moot point LOL

The End.
