Some days after Kicking the atmosphere #4 here I am bringing you the Behind the scenes.
You must have noticed this is not a usual place.
It's like Obelix's playground.
This is the Almendres megalithic cromlech, the biggest megalithic monument in the Iberian Peninsula and one of the oldest in the world. It's not as famous as Stonehenge in Britain, for obvious reasons, but is 2000 years older!
It was built about 7000 years ago, when mankind in Western Europe was making the transition from hunter-gatherers to herders and farmers.
Nowadays, the settlement has approximately 100 monoliths and is surrounded by oak tree forests.
