Un día muy significativo para muchos el mes de Octubre, es la tradicional y popular noche de Halloween, dónde cada detalle cuenta para ambientar nuestro hogar con un aspecto terrorífico... Aunque particularmente, a mi esta fiesta no me gusta mucho, pues creo contradictorio pensar en la muerte y a la vez en lugares coloridos, no obstante, que piense esto, no quita la atracción que siento por los maquillajes, decoración y atuendos de este dia, que son verdaderamente espeluznantes.
A very significant day for many in the month of October, is the traditional and popular Halloween night, where every detail counts to set our home with a terrifying aspect... Although particularly to me, I do not like this party very much, because I think it is contradictory to think of death and at the same time in colorful places, however, thinking about this does not take away the attraction I feel for the makeup, decoration and outfits of this day that are truly creepy.
Esta vez en cambio, en mi trabajo de costura de hoy me gustaría destacar en un llavero, un peculiar personaje de estas fechas, como lo es la calabaza acompañada de un gatito negro hecho con fieltro, quizás, no tan temible, pues debo confesarles que está es la primera vez que trabajo con este material y que no era lo que tenía planeado hacer al principio, pues quería hacer un separador de libros pero me faltaba un material para hacerlo, pero de igual forma este proyecto quedará genial para lucir en esta celebración. This time instead, in my sewing work today I would like to highlight a keyring, a peculiar character of these dates, such as the pumpkin accompanied by a black kitten made with felt, perhaps, not so scary, because I must confess that this is the first time that I work with this material and that it was not what I had planned to do at the beginning, because I wanted to make a bookmark but I lacked a material to do it; but in the same way this project will be great to show off in this celebration. Materiales que necesitas:
- Fieltro color naranja, negro y verde.
- Tijeras.
- Hilo y aguja.
- Hilo naranja (colo de ratón)
- Mostacillas.
- Aro de llavero.
- Relleno.
Materials you need:
- Orange, black and green felt.
- Scissors.
- Thread and needle.
- Orange thread (mouse color)
- Mustards.
- Keychain ring.
- Filling.
(PROCEDIMIENTO)
Paso 01
Lo primero que haremos será nuestro boceto en un papel, en este caso dibujo la forma de una calabaza con un pequeño gatito saliendo de ella; para luego pasarlo al fieltro según el color que corresponda. Sujetamos las piezas y vamos a recortar en dos partes, una para la cara delantera y otra para la trasera principalmente de la calabaza.
Step 01
The first thing we will do is our sketch on paper, in this case I draw the shape of a pumpkin with a little kitten coming out of it; and then transfer it to the felt according to the corresponding color. We fasten the pieces and we are going to cut them into two parts, one for the front face and one for the back, mainly of the pumpkin.
Paso 02
Colocamos un hilo simple de color negro en la aguja y comenzamos a coser en el centro las líneas que carácteriza a una calabaza, puedes trazar las líneas pirmero con un lapicero para tener una idea por dónde coser y así hacer una costura más precisa. Tomo el fieltro negro y corto las partes de la cara de este personaje.
Step 02
We place a simple black thread on the needle and begin to sew the lines that characterize a pumpkin in the center, you can trace the lines first with a pen to have an idea where to sew and thus make a more precise seam. I take the black felt and cut out the parts of this character's face.
Paso 03
Ahora con hilo negro bordamos está piezas de la cara, recordando siempre usar el hilo simple para tener una costura más delicada y que no se note mucho.
Step 03
Now with black thread we embroider these pieces of the face, remember to use the simple thread, to have a more delicate seam and not be too noticeable.
Paso 04
De esta misma manera continuamos cosiendo los bordes de la calabaza haciendo una costura circular primero y luego me regreso para hacer una costura en forma de “X” en toda la orilla. Antes de cerrar definitivamente las costuras, debemos introducir un poquito de relleno para darle volumen.
Step 04
In this same way we continue sewing the edges of the pumpkin making a circular seam first and then I go back, to make an “X” shaped seam along the entire edge. Before definitively closing the seams, we must introduce a little padding to give it volume.
Paso 05
Seguidamente corto una hojas de fieltro verde y utilizo mostacillas del mismo color para bordar y decorar la orillas de estas piezas y las coso a un lado de las orillas superiores de la calabaza.
Step 05
Next, I cut a sheet of green felt and use beads of the same color to embroider and decorate the edges of these pieces and sew them to one side of the top edges of the pumpkin.
Paso 06
Con está parte terminada, seguimos con el gatito negro, para el cual utilizo fieltro negro para recortar la silueta de su cabeza y luego unimos con una costura introduciendo también en esta pieza un poco de relleno. Un poco ansiosa por terminar olvide tomar la fotografía.
Step 06
With this part finished, we continue with the black kitten, for which I use black felt to cut out the silhouette of its head and then we join it with a seam, also introducing a little stuffing in this piece. A little anxious to finish I forgot to take the picture.
Paso 07
Completamos las partes de la cara del gatito, bordando los ojos, nariz y bigotes. Este paso se me resultó un poco dificil por lo pequeño de la pieza, no estoy acostumbrada a hacer trabajos tan pequeños por aún así emplee todo mi esfuerzo para que me quedara lo mejor posible. Luego tomo otro trozo de fieltro naranja para cortar la otra parte de la calabaza y coso al igual que la primera parte.
Step 07
We complete the parts of the kitten's face, embroidering the eyes, nose and whiskers. This step was a bit difficult for me because of the small size of the piece, I am not used to doing such small jobs, so I still used all my effort to make it look as good as possible. Then I take another piece of orange felt to cut out the other part of the pumpkin and sew just like the first part.
Paso 08
Ya con estás partes lista con que queda es armar nuestro llavero, así que cosemos nuestro gatito en la parte superior de la calabaza y en la cabeza del gato colocamos la otra parte de la calabaza.
Step 08
With these parts ready, what remains is to assemble our keychain, so we sew our kitten on the top of the pumpkin and on the cat's head we place the other part of the pumpkin.
Paso 09
Finalmente hacemos un nudillo con el hilo de cola de ratón al aro del llavero y cosemos a nuestra calabaza y gatito de fieltro.
Step 09
Finally we knuckle the mouse tail yarn to the key ring and sew to our pumpkin and felt kitty.
