gotta show off my new berries that i got from some pals who have a wonderful farm, just a hair outside of cleveland, smack dab in the cuyahoga valley national forest-i saw their post on craigslist and had to support their local business! i wanted to grow porch berries anyway! hopefully in a year or two i can get some real land, but im trying to make due with what i got....
blueberries
himbo top red raspberries(well, hopefully eventually)
now here is the bummer, those thriving potatoes and onions i planted in the felt containers have these fungus flies...i removed one of the rotting onion bulbs but there are a ton of these little buggers!
i read online get some ACV and dishsoap so im trying this fix, hopefully it dries out, im gonna stop watering it for now.
then i got all these little greens that i need to get in bigger containers still
hyacinth from last year that has come back...next to it is another flower that stayed green all winter until the very end when we got hit with a ton of snow and it started to turn brown. it looks like there is new growth there, so i am hoping to see it bounce back, i love the perrenials
here is the hibiscus that i think is the 3rd year i have had it now (i bring it in for winter, it isn't a hardy variety although i so often see them in peoples yards around here. it has bloomed a couple of times already just from window light
here we have a non denominational holiday tree that i finally put in a bigger container so hopefully it gains some height this year.
i have some other flowers coming back in the front, a columbine which is spreading nicely and the lavender is coming back... some more updates when i got something to show. ...happy growing!
i hope you liked my post!
