THE INDESTRUCTIBLE WALL - GRANDMASTER RATHE AND BLINDING REFLECTOR COMBO | GIVEAWAY #21

The battle costs 29 mana with almost all of splinters are available except fire splinter. There are 2 rulesets in the match. "Fog of War" and "Odd Ones Out".

In Fog of War ruleset, We can simply think that most of Opponent's attack will go to the first position (a.k.a tank monster, except if they used opportunity monster) so all we have to do is make a prediction based on the opponent's recent matches, what kind of attack will the opponent use? Is it magic, ranged attack or melee (opportunity) attack and set the counter for it. The counter for magic are void, magic reflect and silence while the counter for ranged attack are Return Fire, Headwinds and Shield.

While in the Odd Ones Out rule set, we can only use Odd mana monsters so it "forced" us to use monsters which we barely used in the normal ruleset. In my opinion, the best solution in this ruleset is to prepare enough odd mana cards until the deck is ready for the battle. It's like, we have to prepare what card will be the tank monster, magic and ranged monster.

In the first round, the opponent set 2 magic monsters, Venari Wavesmith and River Hellondale. This is very nice since Blinding reflector will reflect and increase the magic damage back to the attacker. As Grand Master Rathe granted void armor, the magic attack just hit the armor instead of the HP. while the reflected magic attack hits both Venari Heatsmith and River Hellondale HP directly. Fortunately, Venari Wavesmith's health point is increased thanks to Angelic Mandarin triage ability.

In the second round, River Hellondale died due to the reflected magic attack while Legionnaire Alvar has successfully killed Blinding Reflector. Thanks to Adelade Brightwing's resurrect ability, Blinding Reflector come back to life with 5 armor. This is the greatness of resurrect ability. If you guys have monster with very high armor, It's best to support him with resurrect as when he come back to life after death, all the complete armor will be back too. If you used GM rathe, that will be better since the magic will hit armor first.

In this round, Water team lose their tank monster after Legionnaire Alvar Died in the battle. Since there is no tank monster in the field, it's very easy for life team to kill each of the water team in the next round with their magic attack.

In round 4, Chaos Agent died after getting hit by 3 magic attacks. Although getting hit by reflected magic attack, Venari Wavesmith is still alive due to triage ability. Up to this point, Blinding Reflector is still stand strong with the help of repair ability from Adelade Brightwing and Scavo Hireling. He is the "Indestructible" Wall" as GM rathe converts his ordinary armor into void and protect him from enemies magic attack. As the water team is just 2 monster left, Blinding Reflector is unbeatable with 5 void armor.

Both Venari Wavesmith and Angelic Mandarin died in this match as they are keep getting attacked by 5 magic attack, 2 ranged attack, 1 melee attack and 2 reflected magic attack. The match is over, life splinter win.

The strategy to win the match is pretty simple. First, we need to look at the ruleset, which is fog of war, in this ruleset, all of attack will go to the monster in the first position, so all we have to prepare is monster who have ability to counter either magic or ranged attack. There will be no sneak nor melee in this ruleset. So that is the reason why I chose Blinding Reflector as the tank monster. With the amplify, His reflected magic will be so powerful to counter magic monster and with void armor and 2 repair monster, he is undefeated.
