Sri Ganesha festival celebrations

Hi everyone
My greetings to all
Hope you are doing well

Sri Ganesha festival starts from Ganesha Chaturthi (that was on 10th of September this year). On this day people bring Ganesha into the houses, temples or pandals( temporary shrines specially made for Ganesha) as a guest in the form of idol made of clay. So then Ganesha is worshipped following all the rituals written in scriptures, for 10 days. After ten days on Anant Chaturdasi, the clay idol of Ganesha is immersed in any water body. This ceremony ends the ten days long festival.

This festival is very much celebrated in the state of Maharashtra, where Sri Ganesha is lovingly called Ganpati bappa. It is also celebrated in other parts of India but it is quite popular in Maharashtra.

So I am sharing a few pictures of Ganesha Pandal in a temple nearby that we visited yesterday.
So here are the pics 😊

This shrine is temporarily created for Sri Ganesha stay for 10 days. And here morning and evening prayers are done everyday.

After prayers, Prasaad is distributed among all the devotees present there. So this is The prasad that we received after the prayers

That's all for today.
May Sri Ganesha bless all!
Thank you all
