A Flight To Tomorrow

In November 1982, in the city of Port Novo, a group of tourists who were going to Europe boarded two different passenger planes. The first plane, an Arik airliner with seventy-two passengers and the second one was an Emirate plane with eighty-seven passengers would be landing in the same airport in a difference of twenty-five minutes which will be in the next day, tomorrow.

Mr and Mrs Thames are part of the tourists on this trip to Amsterdam. Their twin children Paul and Paula, were also in the list.

While Paul decided to move with his uncle Ferguson, Paula stayed glued to her mother in the Arik airliner. Since both planes are heading towards the same destination, the Thames had no need to worry.

Arik airline took off first. It was a huge plane with a lot of facilities and the passengers were going to have a lifetime of fun before the plane landed in Amsterdam. Paul and uncle Ferguson stayed glued to the camcorder as they watched pinky and the brain cartoon until they were midway to Amsterdam.

Uncle Feggy, would you like to watch something else? I am getting bored with the antics of Pinky already.

Ferguson who was just managing the cartoon spoke up saying:

Certainly. I have something on my flash drive you'd love to watch.

Feggy said as he slid his flash drive into the port at the dashboard of the camcorder, then appeared on the screen.

Merlin

Paul had seen the advert of the series but hadn't been opportuned to watch the legendary magical before. He hugged Uncle Feggy's arm in anxiety.

A little delay hampered the Emirate airliner. It was delayed for another twenty minutes. When they finally took off from the airport in Port Novo, and balanced in the sky, a heavy storm erupted.

The pilot could not move the plane to a higher altitude nor could he bring it over. This whole bombardment occurred for only two hours.

When the Emirate plane finally landed, they had been five years in the clouds and everything had changed. The plane landed on November 21st 1987, exactly five years after it had been declared missing. During the days of the missing aircraft, rescue missions had been sent out but with no tangible report on the missing plane.

The news agency in Amsterdam had gone ahead to break the news.

The Emirate airline that had gone missing in November 1982 has just landed with all passengers on board.

Soon it became a phenomenal world. Mr. Thames and his wife who had given up on seeing their son ever again, jacked up from their seats looking for Paul and Feggy on the television screen as passengers of the aircraft were onboarding. Paula turned pink in her cheek, in excitement, missed with fear over her twin brother, Paul.

The airport authorities in Amsterdam had prepared ambulances and firefighters to control any emergencies that may come up but there was nothing of such.

All passengers were directed to the hospital in some specially coaster buses. After checking all passengers and crew members, they were all normal except that they have grown five years older than those who came with the Arik airline.

Paul and two other kids who were under twenty years old in the plane at the time of take-off had developed some magical powers. He could feel and see what will happen in hours to come. The two other boys, Mike and Adolf had different kinds of magic too. While Mike could tell the intent of the mind, Adolf could appear and disappear.

Feggy and Paul reunited with their family after fourteen days that their plane landed. There was joy in the heart of everyone. Suddenly, Paul held his dad and walked him gently to his room and said to him:

The operations director in your office is cooking a frame-up against you. Kindly rush to the office tomorrow and change all password to your computers.

Mr. Thames was first taken aback by his son's weird behaviour. He had spoken son authoritatively and left with allowing for any form of questioning or argument.

When tomorrow came, very early in the morning, which was u typical of Mr. Thames, he got to the office and changed all password to his personal and official mails, computers and all that. About twenty minutes when arrived, Mr. Bullock, the operations manager appeared from the blues.

He was so shocked to see Mr. Thames already in the office. He could not carry out his evil intentions. Many thanks to the superman, Paul who saw tomorrow before it came.

When Mr. Thames got home, he was so uncomfortable with the state of mind of his son Paul that he confided in his wife the need to watch him closely.

Paul had become a national hero again when he predicted a heavy flood that will sweep across the Timbuktu plains, warning that the government should relocate the dwellers or be ready to face the consequences.

At first, the meteorological society did not see it coming despite being professionals. They felt it was just the dream of a young child that will not come to pass.

On the day the rains began, the government went into action and started to relocate all the dwellers of the Timbuktu plains. Sooner than anyone expected, the rain increased in velocity and came the flood, sweeping across the plains.

The Thames family became very famous for the actions of Paul.
