Esta planta que lleva por nombre científico ”Epiphyllum Oxypetalum”, es una planta nativa de Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, Venezuela y otros países centro y sur americanos. Esta planta suele encontrarse en los bosques húmedos tropicales, además es una planta Epífita, esto quiere decir que, es una planta que usa como huésped, otras plantas para su crecimiento, pero no le otorga, ni quita ningún beneficio a la planta que usa como huésped. Esta hermosa planta o flor, se le conoce con distintos nombres, estos nombres son: cactus orquídea, galán de noche, planta hoja, dama noche, o como a mí me gusta llamarla, Reina de la noche.

This plant with the scientific name "Epiphyllum Oxypetalum", is native to Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, Venezuela and other Central and South American countries. This plant is usually found in tropical rainforests, it is also a plant Epiphyte, this means that it is a plant that uses as a host, other plants for its growth, but does not give or take any benefit to the plant used as a host. This beautiful plant or flower is known by many different names, these names are: orchid cactus, night groom, leaf plant, lady night, or as I like to call it, Queen of the night.

La hermosa Reina de la noche se hospeda en el jardín

Esta hermosa Reina de la noche, se hospedo hace unos días en el jardín de un amigo, el, al ver esta hermosa flor que crecía en una de sus plantas, inmediatamente le tomo algunas fotografías y me las compartió, yo me quedé asombrado con la belleza de esta flor y enseguida me puse a investigarla para saber un poco más de ella, y como ya habrán leído anteriormente, realmente es una flor muy interesante, y no solo porque se hospeda en otras plantas para crecer, sino porque también solo crece de noche, por eso a esta planta o flor, le llaman ”Reina de la noche”, además, esta planta contiene un arome muy agradable, y lo que ya sabemos, un aspecto muy hermoso.

This beautiful Queen of the night, stayed a few days ago in the garden of a friend, he, seeing this beautiful flower growing on one of his plants, immediately took some pictures and shared them with me, I was amazed with the beauty of this flower and immediately I started to investigate it to know a little more about it, and as you may have read before, it really is a very interesting flower, and not only because it lodges in other plants to grow, but also because it only grows at night, that's why this plant or flower is called "Queen of the night", besides, this plant has a very nice aroma, and what we already know, a very beautiful aspect.

Finalmente, me quedo muy sorprendido por la belleza, aroma y sobre todo, las características de esta flor y su forma de crecer durante las noches.
