SplinterGlossary: Rental Market

For Splinterlands, the rental market is an important piece of the game economy.

Cards are rented for two reasons:

When cards are rented to play the game, we mostly mean ranked battles, but only because it's the most used game mode.

As long as it's profitable, cards can be rented to play them in a tournament, or in brawls too.

Managing rentals can happen from within the game interface at a very basic level, but this is one area where 3rd party options (like PeakMonsters, but not only) started to focus on and excel.

Playing with rented cards for a profit and renting out (part of) your collection are the two sides of the rental market. This is in itself one of the games in the Splinterlands economy.
