LeoGlossary: Dead Cat Bounce

In the market, an asset that suffers a period of declined followed by a move upward. The ascension is not a break of trend, hence is temporary in nature.

The idea is the asset has a bounce off the bottom, but is really "dead' since it is short lived.

We see this with commodities, stocks, cryptocurrencies, and other derivatives that are traded.
