The most important thing you need is the content. Please try your best to keep your content, photos, articles, videos, links, GIFs, memes, files, and everything for your websites on your computers and/or other places. Keep backups of your websites. Have backup plans, just in case the servers die or in case your host deletes or hides or loses your content. Keep your content in case you want to leave your host to move on to a new host or something. You can host websites on your own computers as well. And a server is a computer or it can be. If you don't already know, then take my word for it that you can use your own computer like a server for websites, etc.

Try to keep copies of your content. Make lists of your contents. Facebook keeps track of your content for you. But Facebook also has the ability to delete, remove, hide, any of your stuff. Keep your content on computers, thumb drives, cloud storage, emails, online, in folders, lists in text files, in phones, in memory sticks, in flash cards, on servers, laptops, devices, Facebook, YouTube, Dtube, Twitter, Gmail, Steemit, Minds, Gab, Medium, Weebly, Wix, and/or wherever. Make backups. Don't keep all your eggs or ORIGINAL OATMEAL in one basket or bowl.

Hosting

How can you publish your website? How can you turn it on and make it go live? One option is GoDaddy. They do web hosting. If you have copies of your website content, then you don't have to worry about your website host. In other words, if GoDaddy died one day, say for example, then at least your content would still be safe. Blockchains, like Steemit, is another option for keeping your content on backups. There are different ways to host a website.
