A leaked report from Wall Street giant Goldman Sachs has given Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization, a "high probability" of surpassing Bitcoin as "dominant" in the future.
For the financial institution, the growing popularity of decentralized DeFi finance, designed to replace the role of banks with blockchain-based protocols, has helped Ethereum surge over the past year.
Analysts note that the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications are being built on the Ethereum network, and the increased number of transactions on Ethereum versus Bitcoin reflects this dominance.
This morning the cryptocurrency Ethereum has risen by 14.05%, trading 2,806.97 US dollars.
I particularly believe that this currency has a long way to go, but that it surpasses bitcoin I don't know, I have to wait for what they predict to have if it is true, because bitcoin is bitcoin and it is the largest market capitalization currency and that is not going to finish anyone. Even so, if I see good valuation margins for Eth, it is my second currency with the highest investment in my portfolio.
