It’s the hump day for us here in the mountains. Barely 3 weeks (less) towards Christmas day and with a lot of things going on (Dad’s birthday around the corner, mother-in-law’s anniversary, mom and sibling plus her daughters’ health concerns and more), we have neither made a shopping list nor planned on what or how to do them, but we are taking one thing at a time.

Yesterday, my sister was just telling me that our aunt (mom’s eldest sister) has been discharged from the city hospital after being confined for quite a long while so I was thankful. She fell on a ditch while walking and broke her lumbar spine so she could not stand nor walk now which is saddening. She’s towards her 90s so an operation isn’t favorable…

Then I received a shocking news of the husband’s cousin being rushed to the emergency and going into coma soon after. I was told his condition is quite severe. I met the guy a couple of times and he is still young, probably in his late 40s. I really hope and pray he will make it so no family will be feeling down or grieving this holiday season…

In an attempt to clear my mind off things and to stretch some leg muscles, I went for a walk yesterday before mid-day. I passed by the neighbor’s garden and took a few snaps of their hibiscus flower and starclusters (first and second photo respectively). They were red and inviting so who am I to resist? LOL!

Then I remembered about the small broccoli farm which I mentioned on my jungle walk a few months ago saying I will be back to see how it will go but I haven’t had the chance to visit again. I decided to proceed a little farther where I found out they have already harvested most of them. They had them on big baskets, ready to be trimmed and get packed for the market. I was shy so I discreetly took those two shot 😃

Quite surprising actually 'coz I thought it was not so long ago when I had that walk but checking today, I can’t believe it was actually in September! Time sure flies!

Anyhow, it’s another great day to be alive and to make the most out of this new leaf we have been given. Thankful much and I wish you a glorious one!

Smile... laugh often... love more... be happy and grateful always!
