Beautiful mural done behind the Club Soda, famous concert hall in the Quartier des Spectacles for more than 35 years, I have often gone there to see very good music shows (When can we go back ? I miss a good beer with live music... I hope soon ๐).
The alley behind Club Soda is rather narrow and as you can see I haven't yet invested in a wide angle. I hesitate because my camera seems to give up..
The mural was done in 2007 by ArtDuCommun. It's incredible that murals remain in perfect condition despite the years, no tags, nothing like on the first day... What is their secret? ๐

WHO
ArtDuCommun is street art collectived founded in 2006 by Simon Bachand and Jasmin Guรฉrard-Alie. For more than 15 years, the artists created works all around Montreal, always integrate their works into their environment and the history of the building. In this example, the colors of the mural are perfectly integrated to the brick wall and the painted scene perfectly represents the atmosphere inside this emblematic place of the neighborhood and Montreal.
You can fin more about their works in Montreal on artpublicmontreal.ca and on my post Street Art #303 with this mural done with the helf of Stare and Ware :
I don't think the collective is still active (the last post on their Facebook dates back to 2016) but it has left its mark on the walls of Montreal. It's always interesting to pass in front of one of their work because it plunges us directly into the history of the neighborhood with its known (or unknown) characters, its buildings... I like it ๐
WHEN
- 2007.
