Few days ago, proposed technical improvements on SteemPoll project which community feedback and input was great. After further brainstorming the improvements, happy to present you more details. This is addition to SteemPoll technical improvement post.

Metrics

Based on the 470 upvotes my previous post received and the rewards associated with them, this project seems to have broad-based support from minnows to whales.

Usage stats of steempoll.net as well as future potential of the vision is another factor that shows steempoll can help to grow Steem projects.

Summary

Turning steempoll.net into the consensus-facilitation infrastructure for Steem. Think dashcentral except built independently of Steemit Inc.

Problem

There are lots of great ideas, but keeping track of them and establishing reliable sources of funding is difficult using steemit.com alone. This is the problem @cryptoctopus highlights in his post though this would not require any changes to the Steem Blockchain.

Solution

My solution to this problem would be evolving steempoll into more than just a polling website and turning it into a way for people to vote on projects of all kinds (though perhaps we start with marketing) and have crowd decision on what projects should be supported .

Desired Outcome

I believe that this Steem-based application would accelerate adoption of the Steem Blockchain by adding an additional layer of organization and coordination. Ultimately help other projects, ideas and businesses to come to life.

Cost

As of now, I have no need for additional funding, reward-splitting could fund the continued development of the project. What percentage will be determined based on an open conversation with the community using steem posts.
