Community Token Talk episode from this week was a special edition for Hive Fest. 49min of talk exclusively about HiveFest 8, together with a guest who was already there to scout the place ahead of time.
Since we are at this topic, Lord Butterfly posted another teaser about Freechain, the film funded by DHF which will be presented at HiveFest.
In this week's Leofinance AMA (and some of their posts from this week), one of the main topics of discussion was the DHF proposal put out for onboarding almost 10k new active users on Hive via Leofinance. It's not the only interesting subject approached, but I'll leave it up to you to discover the rest.
In the meantime, the upcoming DHF proposal gathered more than enough votes to be funded with its start date at the beginning of September.
Splinterlands launched GLG into Open Beta on August 3rd after being accessible to a limited number of players for a good while.

Note that earning through PoA is for everyone, not just for technical persons. You need to install the 3Speak desktop app, pin some videos and start PoA (push of a button).
Another note: the app is intensive on the hard disk and to some degree, RAM, so it helps if you have a separate machine or one with a fast disk and enough RAM. I have used my old laptop for a while for this purpose, and it doesn't perform very well (slower HDD and only 4 GB RAM can be the issue why not). I still earned 1.8 HIVE in a couple of partial days when I had the laptop on. Also, expect the fan to be mostly on while PoA is active.
This may be the wrong time to start as they seem to have some issues. Check the proof-of-access-feedback channel on the 3Speak discord server to see when they are resolved.
While we are at 3Speak, there are some updates on the development of the mobile apps.
Hola Supercenter now accepts HBD payments, which is fantastic news for Cumaná and the Sucre state. Not many people buy with HBD yet from there, but I imagine the number will grow as the news spreads. Here's where you can follow the transactions if you are curious.

I suppose this is the main crypto news of the week and it even influenced the trends of the week in crypto. Apparently, the hack that made possible the steal of roughly 52m USD from 4 pools on Curve Finance happened due to a vulnerability in the programming language used, Vyper.
Is there anything else besides bitcoin halving? There are, but hypes definitely don't compare. This week litecoin had its 3rd halving.
