Greetings to the entire Foodies Beehive community, this time I will introduce you to a Venezuelan Creole sweet.
Sweets are something irresistible for many people where I include myself and if it is a Creole from Venezuela much more which causes us to eat all day. This time I will be presenting you this tutorial of golfeados which resemble the famous cinnamon rolls, and in its folds it is filled with a mixture of grated paper and white cheese.
Golfeado, or golfiao, as we Venezuelans know it, is part of the traditional sweets. It is a very soft and fluffy bread in the shape of a snail filled with paper and grated white cheese.
Ingredientes-Ingredients:
3 tazas harina de trigo
1 cucharada de levadura
¼ taza de azúcar
1 cucharadita de sal
1/2 taza de mantequilla
1 papelón pequeño
2 tazas de queso blanco rallado
3 cups wheat flour
1 tablespoon yeast
¼ cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup of butter
1 small paper
2 cups of grated white cheese
Procedimiento-Process:
- En una olla pequeña se coloca la mantequilla para derretir y la levadura.
In a small pot, place the butter to melt and the yeast.
- A parte se une la harina con el azúcar y la sal.
To part the flour is united with the sugar and the salt.
- Con la mitad del papelón se hace una miel para bañar los golfeados se deja reservado para el final.
With half of the paper, a honey is made to bathe the golfeados, it is reserved for the end.
- Se agrega la preparación de mantequilla poco a poco a la harina, se une bien y se amasa hasta que despegue de nuestras manos se deja reposar para doblar su tamaño.
The butter preparation is added little by little to the flour, binds well and kneaded until it takes off from our hands, let it rest to double its size.
- Se estira con un rodillo hasta obtener un rectángulo se le coloca por toda la superficie mantequilla derretida se le agrega papelón rallado y el queso luego se hace un cilindro y se cortan como de 2 dedos de grosor se colocan en una bandeja y se dejan reposar 20 minutos tapados.
It is stretched with a roller until a rectangle is obtained, melted butter is placed all over the surface, grated paper is added and the cheese is then made into a cylinder and cut about 2 fingers thick, placed on a tray and left to rest 20 minutes covered.
- Se llevan al horno por 15 minutos se sacan y les colocamos el melado de papelón unidos con queso por encima y se llevan al horno por 5 minutos más se sacan y listo a disfrutar de nuestros golfeados.
They are taken to the oven for 15 minutes, they are removed and we place the melado of papelón joined with cheese on top and they are taken to the oven for 5 more minutes, they are removed and ready to enjoy our golfeados.
Debo confesar que es primera vez que los hago, ya que me enseñó una tía, pero realicé una encuesta a las personas que los probaron y me dijeron que quedaron muy buenos.
