I have the symptoms of Coronavirus but I am not sure since I have not taken tests and I do not do it because I preferred to stay at home under rest and without going out, that is preferable to being kidnapped by the government and locked up for a month where safe They will treat you in the worst way. In Venezuela it is like that. I'm feeling a little better already and I feel like I'm getting over it. The work I want to show is the Star Wars resistance starship, the X-Wing, we all remember its appearance and how it performed the day the death star was destroyed, I personally like its design. I made this replica to scale with soda cans as I always do my jobs. I spent exactly one week doing it. So I hope you like it.
Hola amigos de Hive espero que esten muy bien. Despues de una semana sin estar activo desde mi ultima publicacion hoy quiero mostrarles mi ultimo trabajo, no sin antes contarles que me encuentro muy mal de salud. Tengo los sintomas de Coronavirus pero no estoy seguro ya que no me he hecho examanes y no lo hago porque he preferido quedarme en mi casa bajo reposo y sin salir, eso es preferible a que te secuestre el gobierno y te encierren por un mes donde seguro te trataran de la peor manera. En Venezuela es así. Ya me encuentro un poco mejor y siento que lo estoy superando. El trabajo que quiero mostrar es la nave estelar de la resistencia de Star Wars, la X-Wing, todos recordamos su aparicion y como se desempeñó el dia que destruyeron a la estrella de la muerte, personalmente me gusta su diseño. Yo hice esta replica a escala con latas de soda como siempre suelo hacer mis trabajos. Dure exactamente una semana haciendolo. Asi que espero que les guste.

Como siempre utilizamos latas de soda, bien cortadas y que nos quedan asi como hojas para poder trabajar sobre ellas, ya sea para medirlas y hacer los cortes mas exactos.
We take one of the cans and make the following strokes, this part that we will do here is the tip of the ship.
Tomamos una de las latas y hacemos los siguientes trazos, esta parte que haremos aqui es la punta trompa de la nave.
Then on each line we draw we make a fold, this to mold the can and get the desired shape, we would be like this.
Despues sobre cada linea quye dibujamos hacemos un doblez, esto para moldear la lata y conseguir la forma deseada, nos quedaria asi.
In this sequence of images we have seen how the tip of the ship is made and then join the rest that we had done before. A cut is made with the necessary lines to get the shape. Then it is folded like the previous figure and once it is folded we glue it with glue and it looks like this.
En esta secuencia de imagenes hemos visto como se hace la punta de la nave y luego se uno al resto que habiamos hecho antes. Se hace un corte con las lineas necesarias para sacar la forma. Luego se dobla igual que la figura anterior y una vez este doblada la pegamos con pegamento y nos queda asi.
The next step is to make the back of the ship, for this we take a can and measure it to get a square shape. then we do the same, fold where we draw the lines and we will obtain the shape.
El paso siguiente es hacer la parte trasera de la nave, para ello tomamos una lata y la medimos para sacar una forma cuadrada. despues hacemos lo mismo, doblar donde trazamos las rayas y obtendremos la forma.
After this, we have to make an opening to the can to give space to the pilot's seat and also to place the window of the ship. Once we do these steps, we are left like this. From here on we have to work on the wings.
Despues de esto nos queda hacerle una abertura a la lata esto para darle espacio al asiento del piloto y tambien para colocar la ventana de la nave. Una vez hacemos estos pasos nos queda asi. De aqui en adelante nos queda trabajar en las alas.
For the wings we choose other cans and cut them to the size we want for the ship. I cut them 12 centimeters.
Para las alas escogemos otras latas y las cortamos del tamaño que queramos para la nave. yo las corte de 12 centimetros.
The next step is to make the turbines of the ships, if we remember the original ship has 4 huge large tubes that act as a turbine. We can make them the size we want as long as they are not bigger than the wings.
El paso siguiente es hacer las turbinas de las naves, si recordamos la nave original posee 4 enormes grandes tubos que hacen de turbina. Podemos hacerlas del tamaño que queramos siempre que no sean mas grandes que las alas.
We also make these little tubes that will go to the edges of each of the wings and that will serve as the cannons.
Tambien hacemos estos pequeños tubos que iran a los bordes de cada una de las alas y que serviran como los cañones.
Here we can see the great progress we have made when we join the wings to the rest of the ship. As you can see what is missing are minimum dates but we almost have it finished.
Aqui podemos ver el gran avance que hemos logrado cuando unimos las alas al resto de la nave. Como se puede ver lo que falta son datelles minimos pero casi la tenemos por terminada.
Then we make this small tube that will go inside the turbines and will serve to complete the structure. We will make 4 tubes and place them inside the turbines and secure it with glue
Luego hacemos este pequeño tubo que ira dentro de las turbinas y servira para completar la estructura. Haremos 4 tubos y los colocaremos dentro de las turbinas y lo aseguramos con pegamento.
Once we have made the 4 turbines and glued them inside the others, it would look like this.
Una vez que hayamos hecho las 4 turbinas y las pegamos dentro de las otras nos quedaria asi.
Here we can see how our ship is and the size it has reached, we have also put the 4 cannons that go at the ends of each wing, here we only need to place a base and we will be done.
Aqui podemos ver como queda nuestra nave y el tamaño que ha alcanzado, tambien le hemos puesto los 4 cañones que van en los extremos de cada ala, aqui solo nos falta colocarle una base y habremos terminado.
To make the base we can make it the way we want, it can be square or circular. I made it square because it seemed more practical to me due to the shape of the cans when they are cut
Para hacer la base podemos hacerla de la forma que queramos, puede ser cuadrada o circular. Yo la hice cuadrada porque me parecio mas practica debido a la forma que tienen las latas cuando se cortan
Is it dangerous to work with cans? yes it is and a lot. This was a small accident that I had and like this I had 5 accidents in total. He hurt me with a steel point and it hurt a lot.
Es peligroso trabajar con latas? si lo es y mucho. Este fue un pequeño accidente que tuve y como este tuve 5 accidentes en total. Me heri con una punta de acero y me dolio mucho.
And this friends is the final finish once we have put the ship on its base. It was a long job and due to my health it was also somewhat difficult. But I was able to finish it. Y este amigos es el acabado final una vez hayamos puesto la nave sobre su base. Fue un trabajo largo y debido a mi salud tambien fue algo dificil. Pero pude terminarlo. Soy muy fanatico de Star Wars y mi objetivo es hacer la maxima cantidad de figuras posibles. Se que en Hive hay muchos fans de Star Wars y les gustara.
