Presented in full battle garb, I wanted to give Quora a medieval look. Also wanted her to look beautiful and powerful. Giving the image catch lights (in the eyes), plus some rim light on her left side, gives it a little more three-dimensional feel. I chose the background and lighting to simulate a warm environment.

Started with a Genesis 9 Female Template.
Added a great hall environment.
Added all of the accessories.
Added the semi-completed model, after I morphed the body, changed her position, facial expression, and added clothes.
Added hair, eyebrows and eyelashes…plus sword.
Added a little more armor…and dagger.
Added texture, light and color.
Added war paint and lipstick.
Added more directional lights.

In Summary:
- I start out with a model template and morph the body physically.
- I put the body into a position, change facial expressions, add makeup, dress the model, add skin texture, props, etc…
- I either can embed the character into the background or wrap the environment around the character, then add lighting and camera settings, like depth of field.
- Rendering time was about 15 hours.
- Postwork in Photoshop (adding imperfections in the skin, changing atmosphere and lighting, etc…)
Stay frosty people.
