A weekend of STORIES ADVENTURES & MUSIC || MEMENTO STYLE || part 4 of 3

Easter seems to be a long time ago! My calendar (and yours probably too) tells me three weeks has past since the weekend of the bunnies and eggs. Three weeks I wanted to sit down and try and write a coherent story from all the little adventures and impressions I got while most parents where painting a bunch of eggs, subsequently hid them for their children to search for and enjoyed a classic Easter weekend together.

My Easter weekend was for sure different to a traditional one and filled with several firsts and extremes:

  • Driving through Snow in Springtime
  • First time at Fusion festival, more then Three Months before the Actual Event
  • Curating the Blockchain while my Friends enjoyed Dinner
  • Experiencing a Massive Lineup at Tresor
  • Longest Queuing time ever to get into Berghain
  • Shortest stay ever in Berghain

Months ago my best friend and I decided it was time again for a weekend Berlin. To meet our friends, to hear good music, to let loose and to dance our asses of. It was too long ago we were in Berlin last (I think it was November last year). Usually we book a plane, but this time we decided to travel by car. Berlin is 'just' 650 kilometres away, we thought. And it would allow us to surprise one of our friends in the northern part Germany, in Lärz, a small village somewhere to the north of Berlin.

Boy oh boy, what did we signed up to when the day came to head to Berlin. Easter weekend Saturday early early morning we got into our car. Tired due to little hours of sleep; The sun peaking around the corner; Super feeling in our bodies and minds.

Berlin, here we come!

And then: The Sun decided to play hide and seek. Thor's troops started to appear around the corner and the Ice gods decided to act up more and more while we where progressing towards Lärz. As a result: rain. Subsequently a major temperature drop, and then SNOW! The gregorian calendar tells us: March 31st. So, WTF? Although at first, we were not too much in a hurry, now things were changing. Obviously we had to slow down our speed, we had to put our safety first. More than an hour of snow we had to deal with. Fortunately we made it to Lärz mid afternoon, without any accident.

Through icy weather, with our gift in hand, we walked the ground of our most favourite festival "Fusion festival". End of June, the next edition! And we will be there for sure! Now we simply wanted to bring a bucket of Violets to the man who made Fusion happen, the guy who gives us a special treatment every single time we come to this magical place...
