The self-portrait is considered a tool for learning, a way to expose our bodies, but the self-portrait also exemplifies how we feel and how we are inwardly. It is a kind of a testimony about who you are and how you present yourself.

El autorretrato es un proyecto que avanza hacia lo que verán los demás y en el que pueden posicionarse para transmitir una imagen, un sentimiento o simplemente un referente.

A lo largo de los años, los autorretratos del artista en su obra se desarrollaron a partir de una función puramente autoral de una herramienta de autopromoción. Los autores comenzaron a plasmar en sus obras un yo idealizado, donde es posible observar sus más profundos deseos y aspiraciones, ya sean sociales, personales o incluso estéticas.

The authors portraits that appear on social media, also known as selfies in this context, have an aesthetic that is very removed from reality.
