Infidelity And Broken Home
Matthew is a young man who never relented when it comes to hard work. He works to ensure that things are better for him and his family. He came from a poor family and his dad, Mr Lot happened to have more than one wife. Mr Lot is a chemist and someone who had medical training. He also worked so hard to make ends meet but the love for women was his weakness. He has six wives and each of them gives birth to two children except the first wife who gave birth to three making a total of 13 children. Matthew was the only one who stood on his own without problems.
Matthew is the elder son and was unable to go to school just because of where the home came from. He later managed to go to driving school to learn how to drive any kind of car. He was able to come out successful and truly made it through a company where he became a driver to Mr Charles. Mr Charles is a very busy man and a man who always travels. This made Matthew always go on trips anytime he was called by his boss. His boss never let him down as he always gives him whatever he asked for and even what he did not ask for. Matthew has a younger brother called Emma. Emma is a motorcyclist who has his bike. He gets his daily living from the motorcycle he drives. Emma is also a hard-working being and someone who does not take nonsense.
Matthew got married to a girl whom they have been dating for so long. Before the marriage, they have known each other and have dated each other when the woman, Mary was still young and of age 18. They got married and indeed their marriage was successful. After the marriage, Matthew began to experience some character in his wife. Mary changed from the very person she used to be to a different character and different person. She now inculcates the habit of talking too much and pouring out abusive words now becomes her character. She always gives the husband problems and also sends abusive messages to the husband for what is not worth it.
Matthew cannot do without giving his wife money for food and also for his wife to make herself neat. He opened a huge shop for his wife. The wife was managing it and making more profits from the shop. Matthew also does not want her wife to just depend on the shop alone and instead pays the wife monthly just to take care of herself and the house. Matthew did this to make his wife happy and to remove any quarrel among them.
Mary later conceived and gave birth to a bouncing baby girl. The baby was named Mercy. Mercy grew up to be a beautiful and brilliant girl. She took the copy of his father's tallness but took the mother's shape. She later went to university after her secondary school. She was brilliant and came out in flying colours in all her papers. Her father grew to love Mercy to the fullest being his only child. After several years of expecting a child, Mary finally gave birth to another baby girl. This made his husband Matthew so much happy even though her wife does not have a boy.
John is a well-known mechanic who was so rich but had one thing that spoiled his career. He loves women and can never do without sleeping with any woman he meets. One fateful day, when Mary was on her way to get something in the market, she came across John who approached her. He promised her everything and promised to give her whatever she wanted. Mary told John "I'm a married woman and I don't like having a relationship outside my home". This will be cheating on my husband and in fact, infidelity. John tried hard to woo her but later succeeded. John began to send Mary some money through her bank account. They both began a relationship thinking that it can be in secret forever.
Matthew went to the parlour and saw her wife's phone ringing. His wife was not at home but mistakenly left her phone. Matthew did not pick up the calls, instead left the phone. A few minutes later, a message came in and Matthew decided to check it but saw the unexpected. "What? It means my wife has been cheating on me. I don't believe this. I think she needs to explain to me when she comes back. This same guy even send my wife money through her bank account? Yes!!? Ye!!! Ye!!!... Mary has killed me. Said Matthew. After the trust and belief I had for her. Is this what she wants to repay me with?
When Mary arrived, she quickly rushed to take her phone and saw missed calls from Mr John. She also discovered that someone had checked her phone. She doesn't know how to ask her husband just because she was guilty of everything.
Who is this man? What relationship do you have with him? Matthew asked his wife. Oh...he is my relative who I just met some weeks ago. Mary replied. I don't understand and how come I don't know this relative of yours? John asked. Please, it is as if you have to park your things out to this John's house since you have the guts to cheat on me. John said. No, I did not cheat on you. At least we have been together for a long time and cheating on you is not the best option for me. Mary replied. I don't believe you because the countless love messages I saw on your phone which were sent by John convinced me. John added. Matthew called her relatives that he is no longer interested in this relationship. He explained everything to her relatives and made them see the reasons for sending her packing.
After two months of packing, Mercy became something else. She became downcasted without knowing what to do. She got influenced by her friends and was doing what she was not doing before. People began to wonder why it must be like this. Although, it was the effect of a broken home. The mother on the other hand was not making things good as she is in support of the bad her daughter is doing. Matthew tried to put his daughter on the right track but all his efforts proved to be abortive.
After years of working with Mr Charles, he was rewarded heavily. Mr Charles truly believed and trusted Matthew so much. This was because he has tried him in several ways but.he did not fall victim.
Mary went to meet Emma to explain to him her recent situation and all that happened. She also explained her part to Emma. She told Emma to help her apologize to her husband which he did. Matthew did not give his brother a listening ear. Tell her I cannot accept her back, Matthew replied to his brother.
Mary also ran to Mr Charles, please Sir, I have offended my husband and I want you to help me beg him to take me back. Charles understood and talked to Matthew, but did not accept her back. She is the type that can kill her husband, Matthew replied.
She also told Matthew's parents and then, he refused to hear his dad's words.
This was how they broke up.
