Greetings handmade art lovers! With this thought of empowerment and self-love of the great Frida Kahlo I begin my publication dedicated to one of the stars that I have always admired the most The Moon.
When I was a child, I remember my father bought a telescope. At night we would lie on rugs and pillows and spend hours watching the moon and the stars. It is one of the happiest memories I have of my parents and my sisters, together as a family.
The moon, she is a symbol of love and lovelessness. She is the companion of follies and nocturnal beings. She follows us everywhere. Her silvery reflection fills us with good vibes and I like to think that if you wish for something with all your heart while looking at the moon she will give it to you.
That's why I wanted to make a tribute to the blood moon. That represents life and positive energy, I wanted to do something for me, since this month I have decided to give myself what I need. I love coffee and usually one of the coffee mugs I always use is totally white.
I took the mug and took it to my workshop to give it color and in just 4 steps I customized my mug. I invite you to watch the video to follow the step by step transformation of my mug.
One-color coffee cup
-5 grams of homemade red porcelain cold porcelain dough
-Skewer stick
-Acrylic paint in different colors
-Brushes
-Thin and thick permanent marker
-Liquid embroidery
-Resin
Step 1: With red colored cold porcelain, I made the half moon. Then I marked the craters with a skewer stick.
Step 2: With acrylic paint, I painted some dots around the crescent moon to symbolize the energy it transmits to us. With the help of a permanent marker I outlined the dots and the figures.
Step 3: With black liquid embroidery I wrote a message. In this case that of Frida Kahlo which I love and reminds me that I am capable enough to get what I need.
Step 4: I applied a layer of resin to waterproof the mug and protect it when washing.
And that's it. I have a beautiful coffee mug with the blood moon and a motivational message.

¡Saludos amantes de las artes manuales! Con este pensamiento de empoderamiento y amor propio de la grandiosa Frida Kahlo comienzo mi publicación dedicada a uno de los astros que más admiro desde siempre La Luna.
Cuando era niña, recuerdo que mi padre compró un telescopio. Por las noches nos acostábamos en alfombras y con almohadas pasábamos horas viendo la luna y las estrellas. Es uno de los recuerdos más felices que tengo de mis padres y mis hermanas, juntos como familia.
La luna, ella es símbolo de amor y desamor. Es la compañera de las locuras y de los seres nocturnos. Nos sigue a todos lados. Su reflejo plateado nos llena de buenas vibras y me gusta pensar, que si deseas algo von todo tu corazón mientras observas la luna ella te lo dará.
Es por eso que quise hacer un homenaje a la luna de sangre. Que representa vida y energía positiva, quise hacer algo para mi, ya que este mes he decidido regalarme lo que necesito. Amo el café y usualmente una de las tazas de café que siempre utilizo es totalmente blanca.
Tomé la taza y la llevé a mi taller para darle color y en solo 4 pasos personalicé mi taza. Les invito a ver el video para seguir el paso a paso de la transformación de mi taza.
-Taza para café unicolor
-5 gramos de masa de porcelana fría casera color rojo
-Palito de brochetas
-Pintura acrílica de diferentes colores
-Pinceles
-Marcador permanente fino y grueso
-Bordado líquido
-Resina
Paso 1: Con porcelana fría de color rojo, hice la media luna. Luego marqué los cráteres con un palito de brocheta.
Paso 2: Con pintura acrílica, pinté algunos puntos al rededor de la media luna para simbolizar la energía que nos transmite. Con ayuda de un marcador permanente delineé los puntos y las figuras.
Paso 3: Con bordado líquido de color negro escribí un mensaje. En este caso el de Frida Kahlo que me encanta y me recuerda que soy lo suficientemente capaz de conseguir lo que necesito.
Paso 4: Apliqué una capa de resina para impermeabilizar la taza y protegerla a la hora del lavado.
Y listo. Tengo una bellísima taza de café con la luna de sangre y un mensaje motivador.
