My introductory post, I am doing it the right way this type around

I made an introductory post some days ago after I was introduced to hive which was rather unsatisfactory. After getting to see the standards of writing on this decentralized platform and after being guided through with some introductory references, I decided to rewrite my introductory post in a way that it would best describe who I truly am.

My name is Olorunyomi Emmanuel Omolayo, popularly know as Boko. It will amaze you how I got the nickname, I am a Yoruba born, in Nigeria. But I grew up in the northern part of the country, Yola state to be precise.

In the year 2012, my family and I had to relocate back to Yoruba land from the north due to the vast kidnappings, bomb blasts and killings of christens and people who are not native of the northern tribe by a terrorist group called BOKO HARAM. When we got back to Ondo state, which was were we originated from, my new friends made fun of me, saying that I was afraid of being killed by Boko haram, that was how they started to call me Boko, and that was were I derived my username from @boko19.

I am from a family of six, my dad and my mum with three male children and one female child, in wish I am the third born in the house. I was brought up in a Christian believe, and discipled orientation. I am a student of the Federal university of technology Akure, department of meteorology and climate science, and I am presently in my third year(300 level).

@boko19’s departmental mate

I love to make people smile, which makes it easier for people to feel at home when they are around me, I also love calculations, because it helps me think faster. My best food is pounded yam with vegetable soup and beef meat, and my best colour is yellow. Some people thinks that I am wired as a guy, when I tell them that I dislike football. Do you think so too?.

On the last day of December 2021, I was introduced to hive and her communities by @corporateay wish I considered a new year gift from him to me. Fortunately for me, he didn’t have to explain much because I had been in steemit some years back, but I had no guidance what so ever, couple with the fact that I never got any welcome comments or comments guiding me on the dos and don’ts of the platform, neither did I get any upvote, making it seem like my post weren’t seen by anyone. After dropping a few posts without a single comment or upvote, I started to grow cold feet which later lead me out of the platform for good.

When @corporateay told me about how hive was extracted from steemit due to the disagreement on how steemit is being controlled and how hive pays attention to quality contents and good engagement, I grew interest in hive immediately. I also have the confidence that when ever I need a guide on matters related to the blog chain, @corporateay will always be willing to discuss.

I am here with an open mind to learn more, interact more, participate in community contests, stake the community token, improve my writing skills, share my daily experiences and of cause to earn and change my financial status totally.

Thank you for paying attention to my introductory post, I hope I have been able to present myself better then I did in my first introductory post. As time goes on and as I continue to share my experiences, I can assure you that you will get to know me better.

I am hoping to meet new friends here, your comments and upvotes would go a long way to encourage and motivate me. Do have a splendid day.

@Boko19.
