Speak Network airdrop for Larynx Miners was made to Hive holders in order to incentivize and recompense them for being just awesome on Hive blockchain (actually being active and investing in it ;)). In order to benefit from this airdrop, each user needs to claim the free Larynx Miners each month, over a period of 12 Months. Some of us are doing this recurrently and rigorously, while others might have forgotten or are simply been careless about it. The Larynx Miners not claimed during the month move to an Unclaimed status and will be put into the LARYNX DAO account, which will be distributed based on community proposal and either staked based on weighted Hive Power or SPK Governance token vote (TBD).
While the snapshot for the airdrop happened on January 6th, 2022 at midnight PST, the claiming could be done starting from March 2022. Based on this and considering that the claimdrop will happen for 1 year, it means that we are in the 7th month out of 12 that we can redeem the Larynx Miners tokens. After that and considering new developments on the horizon, should create the context for some market improvements in terms of pricing. At the moment people don't know what is next and some prefer to sell these tokens cheap, but this is a promising project and if delivers great things should await us.
Until the Speak Network evolves into what's designed, we can only have patience and claim remaining airdrops with rigor. On top of that, we can put them to work by Powering Up and Delegating them to active node operators. If we want we can also become node operators where at the moment the uptime is the most important characteristic to fulfill. Later on, that probably will change together with some specific hardware requirements to support a live network for video sharing and streaming.
