Hello HIVE community! Today I want to tell you about a very romantic event that is done only once a year in the most beautiful villages in Italy.
Due to the pandemic last year, the event was not held, so I will tell you about the one in 2019.
This event is called the romantic night and takes place on the summer solstice in Lovere, a small village on Lake Iseo in the province of Bergamo. I participated in this event thanks to my boyfriend, who wanted to give me a wonderful surprise.
Some notes about the village of Lovere:
The lakeside village of Lovere stands on the northern tip of Lake Iseo, being part of The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy since 2003. In the historic center of the village, through its colorful streets, it is possible to admire some testimonies of the medieval fortified city: the Torre degli Alghisi, the Torre Soca and the Torricella surmounted by a cross and the Civic Tower, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, witness of the ancient castle built by the Celeri family in the 12th century.
So it is a village full of history and beauty.
Il borgo lacustre di Lovere sorge sulla punta settentrionale del Lago d'Iseo, dal 2003 fa parte de I Borghi più Belli d'Italia. Nel centro storico del paese, attraverso le sue strade colorate, è possibile ammirare alcune testimonianze del borgo fortificato medievale città: la Torre degli Alghisi, la Torre Soca e la Torricella sormontate da una croce e la Torre Civica, in piazza Vittorio Emanuele, testimonianza dell'antico castello costruito dalla famiglia Celeri nel XII secolo.
Quindi è un villaggio ricco di storia e bellezza.

The event starts at about 7.00 pm, it is possible to book in the restaurants and taste the menu they have chosen for the evening, around 9.30-10 in the evening, when the sun has set, the lights on the city and show the wonder.The projectors use the background architecture as a "stage", thus creating detailed images that impress everyone! In 2019 they chose to project some works of art that represent love, such as Klimt's Embrace, Canova's Cupid and Psyche and Hayez's Kiss.
L'evento inizia alle 19:00 di sera circa, è possibile prenotare nei ristoranti e degustare il menù da loro scelto per la serata, verso le 9 e mezza- 10 la sera, quando il sole ormai è tramontato, si accendono le luci sulla città e mostrano la meraviglia. I proiettori utilizzano come "palcoscenico" l'architettura di sfondo, creando così delle immagini dettagliate e che impressionano tutti! Nel 2019 hanno scelto di proiettare alcune opere d'arte che rappresentano l'amore, come l'Abbraccio di Klimt, Amore e Psiche di Canova e il Bacio di Hayez.
I hope this event can be done this year, it would also mean that we managed to defeat this pandemic and we can travel again!
