Here we are again, together in a new article! Today I want to tell you about a recently built attraction on Lake Garda that I managed to visit in the summer of 2019 with my family and my brother @ilpaso . This is the most spectacular cycle path in Europe and will also be the longest once the project is completed, it will cross as many as 19 different locations on Lake Garda.

Oggi voglio parlarvi di un'attrazione di recente costruzione sul lago di Garda che sono riuscita a visitare nell'estate del 2019 con la mia famiglia e mio fratello @ilpaso. Si tratta della pista ciclabile più spettacolare d'Europa e sarà anche la più lunga una volta che verrà concluso il progetto, attraverserà ben 19 località diverse sul Lago di Garda.
The small village of Limone 🍋
Limone sul Garda is the most north set locality on the west shore of Lake Garda and it is part of the province of Brescia. The name of this municipal district comes from the Latin "limes" and means border.Until 1932, as the west Gardesana was finished, the locality was completely isolated and reachable only through the lake or by a steep mountain road. The economy was consequently based on the cultivation of olives and lemons and on fishing, until the construction of the state road finally favoured tourism. The vegetation is typically Mediterranean, with oleanders, palms and olive trees. The famous lemon greenhouses, set on the terraces on the slopes of the Cima della Mughera, are the symbol of this locality. Slightly more in the north, you can visit the rest of the first "limonaie", built around the 17th century.Today, Limone is a mainstay of the tourism on the Bresciano Lake Garda. The small village was built around the picturesque harbour and has the typical charm of a fishing village. The beautiful palaces and the small alleys in the old town centre, which clamber up the steep slopes of the Dosso dei Roveri, enchanted famous men as Goethe, Lawrence and Ibsen.
Limone sul Garda è la località più a nord della sponda occidentale del Lago di Garda e fa parte della provincia di Brescia. Il nome di questo comune viene dal latino "limes" e significa confine.Fino al 1932, terminata la Gardesana occidentale, la località era completamente isolata e raggiungibile solo attraverso il lago o tramite una ripida strada di montagna. L'economia si basava quindi sulla coltivazione dell'olivo e dei limoni e sulla pesca, fino a quando la costruzione della strada statale favorì finalmente il turismo. La vegetazione è tipicamente mediterranea, con oleandri, palme e ulivi. Le famose serre di limoni, poste sui terrazzamenti alle pendici della Cima della Mughera, sono il simbolo di questa località. Un po 'più a nord, si possono visitare i resti delle prime "limonaie", costruite intorno al XVII secolo. Oggi Limone è un pilastro del turismo bresciano sul Lago di Garda. Il piccolo borgo è stato costruito intorno al pittoresco porto e ha il fascino tipico di un villaggio di pescatori. I bei palazzi e le viuzze del centro storico, che si inerpicano sui ripidi pendii del Dosso dei Roveri, hanno incantato personaggi illustri come Goethe, Lawrence e Ibsen.

The first section of the Garda cycle path was inaugurated in 2018, a path overlooking Lake Garda, a project that will end in 2021, connecting 19 locations in Garda with a long and unique cycle path, giving life to the longest cycle path in Europe. The Garda cycle path starts in Limone and can be covered either by bike or on foot, paying close attention.
E’ stata inaugurata nel 2018 la prima tratta della ciclovia del Garda, percorso a picco sul Lago di Garda, un progetto che si concluderà nel 2021 collegando con una lunga e unica pista ciclabile ben 19 località del Garda, dando vita alla pista ciclabile più lunga d'Europa. La ciclabile del Garda inizia a Limone e si può percorrere sia in bici che a piedi, prestando molta attenzione.
The cycle path that remains suspended over the waters of Lake Garda for about two and a half kilometers can be covered starting from the center of Limone because there are no parking lots near the promenade.The road set between the mountain close to the waters of Lake Garda is really very suggestive to go and the whole complex built is a beautiful example of engineering.
The width of the street is 2.5 meters and the floor is made of concrete panels covered with a slatted finish.
The Limone cycle path can be covered in total safety, enjoying a unique spectacle overlooking the waters of Lake Garda and on the other side with the rock.
So for those who are nearby I absolutely recommend a visit to the village of Limone and a walk on the cycle / pedestrian path!
