Greetings friends!

Today I propose to go to 1979 and we, for now, will not leave the borders of the country, which, at one time, called itself as the USSR.

We will see a series of postage stamps issued on September 18, 1979 entitled "Birds - Protectors of the Forest".

You know, the title of this series reminded me of two things that I liked in that country, I was born and raised there.

Although I am an opponent of the communists and socialists, I must admit that the educational and medical systems of those times were at the highest level.

You were not forced to come to the polyclinic when you have a high temperature, the doctor came home, free of charge, you could always call an ambulance, even with a severe cold, lol.

Today, seeing an ambulance passing through the city, someone might say: Wow! This is the lucky one! An ambulance is coming to him! Lol!

I photographed such a moment, because it may become rarer than the birth of dinosaurs.

In our time, when my mother-in-law was in clinical death, and another time, a neighbor was afraid of dying from high blood pressure, I had to yell into the telephone receiver and threaten with lawsuits in order to get the orderlies to arrive.

If we talk about the education system, much attention was paid to the fact that children would know well the nature that surrounds them, at least the names of birds and animals that live in their country.

Children could attend naturalist circles for free, if not to talk about sports clubs, art schools, participation in dance groups ... everything is free, the children were busy, enthusiastic and did not think about nonsense.

So, this series opens with a postage stamp with a face value of 2 kopecks of the USSR, which depicts a beautiful bird - Golden Oriole (Oriolus oriolus).

This bird protects forests from harmful insects and their larvae.

Birds are orderlies who do not expect to be invited, they are orderlies who work selflessly and tirelessly.

This postage stamp has received a whopping 9,600,000 copies.

For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
