Hello Hivers :)! Wishing everyone a life full of happiness and contentment. Another day for a new blog.
Last year, our family, along with my husband's relatives, decided to arrange a summer retreat on Boracay Island. Luckily, Cebu Pacific had discounted fares to Caticlan, so we booked round-trip tickets for my family.
We were thrilled to come together once more as a family and strengthen our bonds.
It finally happened, and we were all thrilled. Renting a van to go to the airport was necessary since my husband's parents and aunties weren't bringing their own. There was a special joy in traveling together as a family in one vehicle, filled with happy chatter.
After an hour's journey from Compostela, we arrived at the airport, ahead of schedule to ensure we had plenty of time.
On the way to the departure area, I noticed some souvenirs that caught my eye, and of course, my son's too. As expected, he wanted something from the display.
Confirming the prices with the saleslady, I opted for the smallest jeepney souvenir at 380 pesos, much more reasonable than the 2500-peso one. With his toy in hand, we continued to the departure area.
We ensured that our belongings were securely packed, mindful of the baggage weight. Fortunately, we managed to settle the fees at the airport, and we were ready to go.
We waited in the departure lounge.
After a brief wait, we boarded the plane. Initially anxious about my son's response, I was relieved to see him enjoy the experience. We savored the journey, capturing memories through photographs. My son remained content throughout the trip, even sleeping peacefully as we approached Caticlan for landing.
Finally, we arrived safely in Caticlan.
Subsequently, we boarded a bus bound for Boracay airport for additional luggage checks. By this time, my son was already awake.
After completing the luggage check, we proceeded to the exit for our second ride, where tour vans awaited, offering deals to the stunning Boracay Island. Opting for a van, we traveled to the Boracay port, appreciating the convenience of having our van driver handle all ticketing procedures.

At the port, we embarked on a ferry bound for Boracay Island. The water's clarity was mesmerizing, a refreshing sight that delighted both myself and my son.
Upon arrival, we boarded another van, this time heading to our hotel, the Piccolo Hotel, boasting a lovely swimming pool. Departing Mactan Airport at 11:30 in the morning, we reached Boracay Island close to 3 o'clock in the afternoon, despite the lengthy journey, it was undeniably picturesque.
After settling into our room, we ventured outside around five in the evening to explore the beach.
The sunset was a spectacular sight, offering a moment of tranquility and awe.
Stay tuned for Part 2 of my blog.
That’s all for my blog today. My sincerest thanks for taking the time to read and support my blog, until next time. See you!
