A Tale of Two Pizza's - A Twist of Italian Flavour (Week 13)

Manzanilla and Picholine returned to their private room after the dinner meeting had ended. "Well that was a big success, what do you think love?" Manzanilla said looking at his wife. "Yes, that was successful I think the guests are happy and the voyage shall go well I do hope. It was odd that Tolcetta wanted to go on the voyage, I do not think that she has been back there for quite some time." She said inquisitively happy. "Yes, it has probably been 15 years since she has been there, I wonder why now she wants to go back...I am sure she has her reasons, her wine will need the attention during that time so perhaps it is best that she goes go with the ship." They milled about the room for a while when there was a knock at the door.

It was Tolcetta, she was let in and walked over to a chair by the two Olive Barons by the servant. "Greetings, what bring you to us this evening" Manzanilla said gleefully staring at the Wine Baroness.
"Thank you for the invite and lovely evening, the food was splendid, I do hope you liked the wine. I wanted to thank you for arranging a spot for me and my cellar hand on the voyage across the ocean. It has been many years since I have been back and need to take care of some personal matters that took place 15 years ago."
"Absolutely we are more then happy to have you go with your wine, which was delectable and paired nicely with what the chef cooked up, the two of you must have conspired to make such a beautiful pairing...For this I am happy. Yes please do take care of your personal matters when you are there. Be in contact with the captain as to your return voyage shall all be covered as well."
"Thank you Baron I have not seen my dau..." she was interrupted by a man who stormed into the room, the face of Manzanilla dropped suddenly as the two men looked at each other. The Baron was handed a note as the two men walked over to the side of the room and had some words.
The expression of the Baron had dropped as he made his way back to the chair he had occupied..."Is everything alright" said Picholine with a cocked eyebrow. Manzanilla sat there looking about 100 miles out, opened the letter. His face grimaced reddening to the pimento red the more he read. The room went still. Tolcetta and Picholine looked at each other locking eyes intently for the moment of time that tends to last longer then it should in a natural way.
"Those bastards" murmured Manzanilla "Blast-it, those no good rotten scoundrels, they will not get away with this, they will pay, I shall have my day and rue theirs." He shot out with frustration.
"Ready everything, get all, and everything ready, loaded and prepared, Tolcetta, tell Vincheezo, Erba, and all those that need to know that we must ship out as soon as possible. There is trouble brewing in the lands of my brother and they are poised to overthrow him. Blasted leaches cannot leave good things alone" He blurted out in rage. "Go now, get everything ready, we leave as soon as possible."
Tolcetta got up and hurried out the room as Picholine came over to comfort her husband. "What was that all about?"
"The scoundrels are plotting to go against my brother, I must stop them. I must make the voyage back, you should come with me and we will make a trip of it, I cannot let those pricks do what they are planning. We will go over seas on the fast ship and send reinforcements ahead of us and have the cargo ship behind us. I must make arrangements right away. I'll talk to you later, hun"
"Do you mean you will talk to me later tomorrow?"
"Ha yes, you know me my love, get ready. The whirl wind is coming, sleep well."
"I will, go be the Baron you always are." She said with an encouraging smile on her face. Manzanilla rolled out of the room faster then an olive from under a fork.
Picholine sat alone in the room in the chair by the window looking out at the lights flickering under the dark skies in the kingdom. Her thoughts wandered to what she would have to bring for the both of them on the new adventure they would soon be setting out on. She wondered what Tolcetta was going to say before they were interrupted, she knew there would be some time on the ship where the conversation could be had. She pondered the last time she was over the pond and what it would be like this time after the fall. She closed her eyes with a smile on her face reminiscing about the times she was there last, how long it has been and perhaps how a reunion might be just the thing to have happen to bring the two brothers back together, despite the upheaval.
