He's the principal. He is now retired, but has worked his entire life at a school in Tajikistan. He has watched many of his students grow up, get married, have children, and their sons and daughters become his students again. He told me quietly, smiling that many the village people were his sons and daughters. And when his students introduced him to me, they also said he is another father or grandfather of them.
