Racist "trump" card.

It's now the Left's trump card to disqualify and invalidate from all serious discussion anyone who voted for Trump on the grounds that they are racist or have abetted racism. Charging the Right with racism is a cheap and easy escape hatch when a prog finds himself in a debate in which he cannot actually argue the issues.

It's so simple to charge their interlocutor with racism rather than actually discussing the disaster of progressive policies to the minority community like how the Great Society has shredded the black family by incentivizing out-of-wedlock births, created a dependent underclass by robbing them of their dignity and initiative through disincentives for honorable work, propagated crime-ridden hoods by blaming the police and justice system, and degraded educational standards with the soft bigotry of low expectations.

The debate is easily ended, they believe, when the Lefty repudiates entirely a person of the Right simply by charging them with racism; even if the man of the Right is clearly not racist, but merely because he abetted and encouraged racism by voting for a supposed 'covert' racist. So unwilling are they to consider the actual things members of the Trump team have done and said which prove they are not racists; so invested they are in asserting and maintaining this delusive facade that the Right are racists, that no amount of irrefutable evidence will shake their faith in the fallacy.

But we know what it really means when they do it; it's really just an admission that they're losing the argument and it's a desperate attempt to claim the moral high ground so that they may continue their flattering, self-gratifying feelings about their own terrific goodness and conceited, supercilious-but spurious superiority over us.
