🇬🇧 NORTHERN LIGHTS SEEN FROM POLAND
On 23 March 2023, the northern lights (the aurora borealis) appeared over some parts of Poland. Spring🌱 is the best time of the year to observe this natural phenomenon over Poland🇵🇱.
“Auroras are directly related to solar activity☀️. The sun continuously releases a stream of charged particles, which is called the solar wind. When the solar activity is higher, the sun burps out Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) and auroras are formed” – as Helena Ciechowska, a physicist from the Heliogeophysical Prediction Center (CPH) of the CBK PAN in Warsaw, describes the phenomenon.

🇵🇱 ZORZA POLARNA NAD POLSKĄ
23 marca 2023 r. w niektórych regionach Polski widoczna była zorza polarna. Wiosna🌱 to okres sprzyjający powstawaniu tego zjawiska na terytorium naszego kraju🇵🇱.
“Zorze to zjawisko bezpośrednio spowodowane aktywnością słoneczną☀️. Nasza gwiazda stale emituje do nas strumień naładowanych cząstek, które nazywamy wiatrem słonecznym. Zdarza się, że aktywność Słońca jest większa, pojawiają się wyrzuty materii na powierzchni naszej gwiazdy” - opisała Helena Ciechowska, fizyczka z Centrum Prognoz Heliogeofizycznych Centrum Badań Kosmicznych PAN w Warszawie.
