Ho-Oh

Ho-Oh is a Legendary Basic Fire Pokemon with 130 HP and two retreat cost. It has Lightning weakness with Fighting resistance. The first attack of Flap does 50 damage for one Fire Energy and one Colourless energy. This attack is okay. Ho-Oh's second attack of Shining Blaze costs two Fire Energy with one Colourless Energy to do a base damage of 100. If you have any Benched Tera Pokemon this attack does 200 damage instead which is a high amount.

As long as there are Benched Pokemon, Ho-Oh can be a dangerous single prize atttacker. Since it is a Fire Pokemon, getting three Energies on it is not that difficult. You have Magma Basin, Mela or Crispin supporter and the one manual Energy attachment for the turn. There is also the Armarouge with the Fire Off ability.

Marill & Azumarill

This Marill is a 60 HP Basic Psychic Pokemon with one retreat cost and Metal Weakness. Note that Fairy Pokemon are Psychic Pokemon as the Fairy type has been discontinued in the Scarlet & Violet era of cards. The attack of Rolling Tackle does 20 damage for 1 Psychic Energy.

I think this Azumarill card is kind of busted. This Azumarill is a single prize Stage 1 Psychic attacker with 120 HP, two retreat cost and Metal weakness. The Double Edge attack costs 4 Psychic Energy to do 230 damage with 50 recoil damage to itself. This attack is expensive but its ability makes the Energy Cost just 1 Psychic Energy if you have any Tera Pokemon in play.

Doing 230 damage for 1 Psychic Energy is pretty crazy. The damage amount of 230 knocks out almost any Basic Pokemon V and Basic Pokemon ex out there.

Tera Orb Item Card

teraOrb_screenshot.PNG

Tera Orb is a powerful Item Card that allows you to search your deck for a Tera Pokemon and put it into your hand. If you have a Basic Tera Pokemon then Tera Orb puts it into your hand versus Nest Ball that puts any Basic Pokemon from deck to Bench. Tera Orb is better than Ultra Ball if you have Tera Evolution Pokemon. Ultra Ball discards two cards from hand to search for any Pokemon while Tera Orb does not discard cards from hand to search for a Tera Pokemon.

Perfect Mixer ACE SPEC Card

Perfect Mixer is an Item ACE SPEC card that allows you to search your deck for 5 cards and put them in your discard pile. This effect is simple and can be helpful to certain decks that rely on cards in the discard pile.

Lugia VSTAR decks typically need two copies of Archeops in the discard pile. Then Lugia VSTAR's ability brings back two non-Rule box colourless Pokemon from discard to your Bench. Once Archeops is in play then it is easy to attach many Special Energies to your attackers.

There are some other decks that can benefit from the Perfect Mixer card. I can't think of any other than Lugia VSTAR. I am just not sure if this card has that much impact for that 1 ACE SPEC slot in the deck.

Precious Carrier ACE SPEC Card

This Precious Carrier card is pretty powerful. I think this ACE SPEC card provides good competition to Prime Catcher, Unfair Stamp, Legacy Energy and Hero's Cape. Precious Carrier is a more powerful version of Nest Ball. With this ACE SPEC card you can search your deck for any number of Basic Pokemon and put them onto your Bench.

One crazy combination is this ACE SPEC card with the Stadium Card Area Zero Underdepths. As long as you have a Tera Pokemon in play you can have up to 7 Benched Pokemon instead of the maximum allowed 5. Precious Carrier is a super Powerful setup card. Nest Ball allows you to Bench 1 Basic from deck while this ACE SPEC card allows for up to 5 or even 7 from deck to Bench.

I don't know if every deck will run this. Decks that require a lot of support Pokemon and backup attackers on the Bench will greatly benefit from this card.

Tera Pokemon Options Available Up To Shrouded Fable

Many of the cards in the Post rely on Tera Pokemon. I put this section here to show Tera Pokemon choices. Some Tera Pokemon are more usable than others in the competitive sense. Since there are may I highlight the ones that I think are good.

Terapagos ex would be the one of the easiest Tera Pokemon to put into play as it is a Basic Tera Pokemon with its first attack having two Colourless Energy in its cost. Terapagos would be suitable for almost any deck that relies on Tera Pokemon.

Any of the Ogerpon ex Pokemon are good as they are Basic Pokemon as well.

Charizard ex is a Dark Tera type. Instead of using Ultra Ball you can use Tera Orb to search for a Charizard ex. Tera Orb is helpful for evolution decks where the evolved Pokemon is a Tera Pokemon.

A useful website I use to search for Tera Pokemon cards is this site. Here is the Tera Pokemon list as of Twilight Masquerade.
