IMAGE SOURCE_The Power of the Spoken Word | Wake Up World ☀
locution, spiral as ripples
doused like flames to diesel
it's soaring like a tonardoe, simmering
and still blinking within the ashes
Our love has razed down empires
like petals bullets in plastic guns
engrossed in the turbulence
our body engulfed in emotions
like water and ice, graciously kindled
The word, escaping the tongue
is like a sword that carves open dimensions
and cut throughout the bull's eye
blasting past the metals
tearing through darkened places
like light in tenebrosity
it softens like water on scorched surfaces
or hardens like flames on diamond
the word is a messenger without conscience
The word is a fervid ember
in the middle of dew and snow,
sizzling like the woodpecker's tapping
on fountain waters
bringing the dawn anew
like Adam in Eden's delight
A testament to foreboding
yet a shining star and crystal ball
uncertain of the word's destination
whether fertile or on impotent soil.
The word is the father of the earth
bursting forth from the creators
like clay in the potters hands
and made the stars and the sea
we were but fossils and elements
unformed as a zygote unborn
but the words was like a magic spell
and the flowers and sunsets was born
out of the darkness unimaginable.
