In the midst of our adversities
We locked down our universities
And relocated to a scarce city
Where religion trumps humanity.
Despite the strength of our diversity
We chose to dwell in weak ethnic cities,
Throwing tantrums with tenacity
At the inno(sons)cent in our localities.
We deny ourselves basic AMEN-ities
Like water, motorable roads and electricity
In the name of erecting mega(tithe)cities,
Then we place the blame on principalities.
Why do we keep limiting our abilities?
Why settle in the estates of bad public-cities?
Why do the holies of holies relocate from generous cities?
Why do the festivities elevate our atrocities?
