TRUE HAPPINESS

Once I have done a certain thing, I'll be satisfied.
This is something we all claim sometimes, not understanding what it brings.
For our happiness, we look only into the future,
Letting life in its fullness slip through our fingertips.
When the job is completed, we'll really feel complete.
Or look back and see how much fun we missed?
Self-consumed in order for us to see nothing else,
To harm those whom we love, as well as ourselves.
To be grateful for so many things around us.
Open the door eagerly when finding an answer.
Others see what's in front of our faces too much,
But we're too blind to look at the race while we're snared.
What's going to be about this life?
Is it money, wealth, reputation, or a big house?
Having talked to a man in his dying bed,
None of the solutions to this are what he meant.
What we should want is family, love, laughter.
These are the precious things that avoid the bleakness of life.
