Escaping Fate

She once again paints on a smile with a thick layer of foundation.
Saving herself from the world, the pain of discrimination.

She's sick of her insecurities,
All she wants is security.

She's drowned herself in her own self pity.
It's almost like being lost in the city.

It's almost too much for a heart that feels so numb,
Almost too much for somebody so young.

She wants so much to be free in the sky,
She wants to let go she wants to die.

Her synthetic smile shows no truth,
Her pathetic eyes show no youth.

Nobody wants to believe how she feels,
Nobody wants to believe this is real.

She longs to escape, one day she'll try,
You'll see she's peaceful when she's to lie.
