Let the sunshine in
Fear not the darkness outside
Light always follows

Thanks for taking the time to read my haiku poem.

I have decided to set myself a target of writing one haiku poem per day for 30 days. In case anyone is wondering what a haiku is. Wiki tells us "a haiku is traditionally a Japanese poem consisting of three short lines that do not rhyme. The origins of haiku poems can be traced back as far as the 9th century"

A haiku in English takes the form of 3 lines or sentences, with 5 syllables in the first, 7 syllables in the 2nd and 5 syllables in the last line.

Feel free to join me if you want to. For me this is an exercise in trying to access my creative side, which I'm not always in touch with, with a view to getting into a state of flow eventually.

Peace out
