Flowers "Puspa Indonesia"
White jasmine (Jasminum sambac) is one of Indonesia's national flowers, its small shape, fragrant aroma and pure white color make it a "puspa nation" flower. Its tiny shape symbolizes simplicity and humility, the white color symbolizes purity and sincerity, this sacred flower (white jasmine) is a sacred flower that must be present at Javanese and Sundanese weddings.

Mystical Flower
Some Indonesian people still believe that white jasmine is one of the flowers favored by spirits, especially kuntilanak (a ghostly figure of a woman dressed in white with long black hair), perhaps because of its distinctive and soft fragrance, so it is identified with mystical things, white jasmine is also often used as one of the media to summon spirits. The mystical aura of white jasmine flowers can be seen in the ritual "showering flower" at midnight during the full moon. Its natural fragrance is a means to generate spiritual energy, therefore at any ritual event, fragrances from various flowers are always used.

Utility
White jasmine flowers are often used as a decoration for the bride's buns and decorations for the clothes of the nobles of the king's daughter, besides white jasmine is often used in the "bath flower" ritual, which is a ritual to rid oneself of all things that are considered as "bad luck" in life. The flower bath ritual is also carried out in the month of syuro (one of the months on the Javanese calendar) usually using seven kinds of fragrant flowers, one of which is white jasmine. However, due to the existence of rare white jasmine flowers and their high price (usually calculated per flower or based on their weight), other flowers are used in the "bath flower" ritual which are more accessible to the public. White jasmine flower extract is also used as perfume and air freshener, therapists also use white jasmine essential oil as "insomnia therapy" to treat sleep deprivation disorders, its natural refreshing aroma relaxes and helps reduce stress
